JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has a great cast of characters. The main protagonist and the antagonist are excellent, but in addition to them, the side characters in the series are also pretty amazing. They add a great deal of excitement and depending on which side they ally with, they either help the main character or create more problems for them

There are several side characters, who have gained a lot of fans because of their actions and their unique personalities. With that in mind, we have ranked the most likable JoJo side characters.

8 Okuyasu

Okuyasu is a side character, who was introduced in Diamond Is Unbreakable. Initially, he was Josuke's enemy, but as the story progressed, Okuyasu got closer to the Joestar. The two of them became the best of friends, and together they fought and defeated multiple enemies. Okuyasu is a goofy person, which made him a funny and likable character.

He is also blessed with an incredibly powerful Stand, which allowed him to erase anything from existence. The only bad side to Okuyasu is the fact that he is too stupid at times, and on several occasions, it caused problems for him and the others around him.

7 Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters is a unique character as they were not human. They were a group of plankton, who gained sentience after Pucci threw a disc into the water body outside the prison. Foo Fighters was given the responsibility of guarding the Stand discs which Pucci was hiding, but after they were defeated by Jolyne, they decided to serve her instead.

They became an extremely valuable member of Jolyne's group and with their unique abilities, they saved Jolyne's life and the lives of others. Furthermore, they sacrificed their own life to help Jolyne reach her goal.

6 Ermes

Ermes was Jolyne's main support when she was locked up inside the Green Dolphin Street Prison. She got arrested on purpose so that she could avenge the death of her sister and she did not stop until she killed Sports Maxx. Ermes stuck by Jolyne's side, and she helped the Joestar to get closer to her goal of saving her father.

Ermes had the perfect balance of aggressiveness and friendliness, which made her very special. Also, Ermes had many flaws that make her seem a much more realistic character.

5 Speedwagon

Speedwagon was an incredible character, who made his debut in Phantom Blood. In the beginning, Speedwagon was trying to hurt Jonathan, but after being humbled by the Joestar, Speedwagon grew newfound respect for him. He followed Jonathan everywhere and became his biggest fan.

While Speedwagon did not have special abilities, he never hesitated to put his life in danger to help Jonathan. Speedwagon was definitely a wholesome character and his love and admiration for Jonathan made him very likable.

4 Caesar Zeppeli

Joseph sought out Caesar to learn more about Hamon in order to fight the Pillar Men. In the beginning, Caesar came off as an arrogant character, who was extremely petty. But as the story progressed, the fans were able to see a completely different side of Caesar, where he was more responsible and had a great sense of honor.

Caesar deeply cared about Joseph, and he went as far as to fight Wamuu and steal the antidote for the ring that could potentially have killed Joseph. Caesar's fighting spirit impressed Wamuu, who chose to respect the former's desire to save his friend by leaving the antidote for Joseph.

3 Polnareff

Polnareff was first introduced in Stardust Crusaders. He was originally working for DIO, but after being defeated in battle, Polnareff decided to join the Joestar group and fight against DIO. Polnareff became a fan favorite because of his antics and unique way of fighting.

Polnareff was a kind-hearted person, and he always tried to help others around him. Along with his role in taking down DIO, Polnareff also played a key role in Diavolo's defeat as he was the one who told Giorno and the gang about the power of the Stand arrow.

2 Bruno Bucciarati

It would not be a stretch to call Bruno, the highlight of Golden Wind. Despite his position as a Capo, Bruno was compassionate to others around him. His incredible leadership was crucial in taking down the Boss of Passione. Bruno took the massive decision of going against Diavolo and saving Trish from certain death, and it cost Bruno lost his own life.

However, he did not regret his decision, which showed he was willing to sacrifice his life for the greater good. In addition to his great personality, Bruno was an excellent fighter, who fought and defeated the likes of Secco and Proscuitto.

1 Gyro Zeppeli

Gyro Zeppeli is among the best-written characters in the series. He was responsible for changing the life of Johnny Joestar. Before meeting Gyro, Johnny was miserable, and he believed that he would never be able to walk again. However, Gyro changed his perception of things. Not only was he Johnny's best friend, but he also served as his mentor. Gyro taught Johnny the true value of friendship and how to look for positives even in the darkest of times.

Gyro was an incredible man, who participated in the Steel Ball Run race because he wanted to save a young boy from death. It shows the unimaginable kindness of Gyro Zeppeli, who was ready to put himself through multiple ordeals to save a person, who didn't even know about his existence.
