Steel Ball Run is the first part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure that is set in the alternate universe and the seventh part overall. It takes place in America and covers the story of Johnny Joestar, a prodigious horse jockey. After being involved in a freak accident, Johnny loses his ability to walk, which costs him all his fame and riches. Johnny is quickly forgotten by the world, but he still hopes that he'll be able to walk again someday.

Fortunately for him, Gyro Zeppeli comes to America to participate in the Steel Ball Run race. As the pair progress in the race, they are forced to fight other competitors who stand in their way. Johnny and Gyro use their wit and power to take down their foes and their strong Stands. While all of the Stands in Steel Ball Run are impressive, some of them are significantly stronger than the rest.

8 Cream Starter

Hot pants using Cream Starter

Cream Starter is a versatile Stand that belongs to Hot Pants. The Stand manifests as a weapon instead of having a regular humanoid form. Cream Starter can spray flesh onto a person, and, depending on Hot Pants, it can have a different impact on the target.

With Cream Starter, Hot Pants could heal any person's injuries. She was also able to decompose the skin of another person upon contact. Furthermore, the Stand could be used to control the body of another person.

7 Civil War

Civil War stand in Steel Ball Run

Instead of normally attacking its targets, Civil War functions in a rather unique way. The Stand works on the feelings of guilt that a person might have toward a specific object or person. Civil War brings forth such people or objects, and they slowly start to form a membrane around the victim.

If the number of manifestations is too large, the membrane can crush the target to death. The only way to get rid of the membrane is by covering oneself with water. Furthermore, if a person is killed within the range of Civil War and if the perpetrator harbors any feeling of guilt toward them, then they are revived.

6 Scary Monsters

Diego Brando with Scary Monsters

Scary Monsters is an interesting Stand that was wielded by two people. The first user of the Stand was Dr. Ferdinand, who could turn anyone he wanted into a dinosaur. He only needed to graze the target slightly for the ability to take full effect.

The second user of the Stand was Diego Brando, who was initially turned into a dinosaur by Dr. Ferdinand, but, after getting his hands on one of the parts of the Saint's Corpse, he developed his own version. Unlike Ferdinand, Diego could turn into a dinosaur and hurt other Stands. A person affected by Scary Monsters' ability would fall under the control of the user, making it a very useful Stand.

5 Mandom

Mandom And Ringo Roadagain

Mandom belongs to Ringo Roadagain, a minor JoJo antagonist sent by Funny Valentine to stop Johnny and Gyro. Mandom is a straightforward Stand that lets its user to reverse time by six seconds. Ringo Roadagain stated that he was free to revert time without any problems.

Most opponents caught in the range of the Stand's power were unable to discern the ability of the Stand and ended up being confused. Mandom did not display any combative abilities, but its power to reverse time greatly helps its user take down their opponents.

4 The World

Diego Brando with the World JoJo

The World is among the strongest Stands in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It was wielded by DIO in Stardust Crusaders, but Araki decided to use it again in Steel Ball Run. This Stand was used by Diego Brando of another dimension.

The Stand wasn't any different from its Part 3 counterpart. The World has ridiculously high physical strength and speed, which allows it to pummel an opponent to death. Furthermore, the Stand also has the power to stop time, giving it a massive edge over its foes.

3 Ball Breaker

Ball Breaker touches Valentine

Ball Breaker had the potential to become a devastating Stand. Sadly though, Gyro Zeppeli only used it once, as it requires an enormous amount of energy. The only way of accumulating enough energy is by using the Golden Spin.

Once the Stand makes contact with its target, it rapidly ages them and their Stand. Ball Breaker's immense energy also allowed it to bypass the dimensional barrier of D4C Love Train. If Gyro had survived, it is very likely that Ball Breaker would have become stronger than the likes of D4C and Tusk.

2 Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

D4C and Funny Valentine

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, commonly known as D4C, is the Stand of Funny Valentine, the main antagonist of Steel Ball Run. D4C is a humanoid Stand that has decent physical attributes. However, the thing that makes it one of the strongest Stands in Steel Ball Run is its ability to travel to different dimensions.

To activate this ability, Funny Valentine needs to get caught between two objects. Following its activation, Funny Valentine could go to other dimensions, where he could interact with his other copies and swap places with them.

1 Tusk

Johnny Joestar and Tusk

Tusk is the Stand of Johnny Joestar. It is among the few Stands that take different forms. Tusk has four different "ACTs," and they start at 1 and go all the way up to 4. Tusk ACT1 is quite weak, and it was rarely used by Johnny in combat. ACT2 allows Johnny to shoot nails from his hands and feet, which tear down an opponent easily.

As Johnny bettered his control over spin, his Stand also improved. In ACT3, Johnny could create spatial wormholes that could be used to avoid fatal attacks and gain advantageous angles. ACT4 is the final form of Tusk, and it works on the principle of Golden Spin. This grants it infinite rotational power that can even bypass dimensional barriers. All in all, Tusk is by far the strongest Stand in Steel Ball Run.
