Bill Skarsgard is in talks to star in the upcoming action sequel John Wick 4. There are no details about the role he's in, but we do know that John Wick 4 will see Keanu Reeves' titular character angrier than ever before as he's plotting revenge. With nothing to lose, expect to see a version of John like never before.

With Chad Stahelski returning to direct, the team behind John Wick 4 has been busy casting roles for the upcoming sequel. Shamier Anderson and Rina Sawayama have both been cast, with Donnie Yen (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) joining as an old friend of John who shares mutual enemies with the titular character. The plan is to shoot both John Wick 4 and 5 back-to-back, almost similar to how Marvel filmed the last two Avengers movies.

Skarsgard is known for his role as Pennywise in the two recent It films. He can also be seen in the Netflix series Hemlock Grove, Hulu's Castle Rock, Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, and recently with Tom Holland in The Devil All the Time. Skarsgard is also slated to star in two more films as well as three additional indie movies set to release this year. Evidently, Skarsgard is working and his resume speaks very well for itself. It's clear that he can easily handle his own when it comes to acting. Collider first reported on his talks to join John Wick 4.

John Wick 4

John Wick is expanding as a franchise and it's clear that the universe seen in the movies has potential for a lot of spin-offs due to how deep the assassin world goes. For now, people are only tuned in for the infamous Baba Yaga (boogyman) John Wick and it will be hard to find a character that can surpass his resume in terms of getting the job done.

Despite the success of the films, many are concerned about news that the original John Wick creator won't return. If the casting, location, and time they're taking is anything to go off of, one thing many should know is that there's still hope for fans of the infamous assassin.

Not only did the franchise get its own video game but it also got its own John Wick rollercoaster ride. Many are debating the longevity of the franchise and how long it will be before it becomes too much. As of now, each sequel has topped the last in terms of fights, scenery, and expanding the universe. Only time will tell if John Wick and his movies will end their story on a high note during their prime or overstay their time.

John Wick 4 is slated to hit theaters on May 27, 2022.
