There will come a time when Marvel Studios has to cast new X-Men and that includes finding a Wolverine to succeed Hugh Jackman's beloved Logan. Now, one talented fan has a bit of a left-field suggestion with none other than Jack Black as a potential candidate.

Black is a comedic and musical powerhouse like few others. However, he’s never shy to show his love for the MCU thanks to many of his popular videos on social media, all of which feature his signature humor. Perhaps because of that, he’s been chosen as the test subject for this unique fan casting thanks to some very impressive X-Men artwork.

In this case, it all comes courtesy of Brazilian illustrator and artist SamukArts (@samukarts). The artist decided to take Black’s own bearded face to turn him into the new Wolverine for a fictional series that’s long been rumored to be in development for Disney Plus. Although he may lack the physical fitness of Jackman, Black does admittedly look pretty good wearing a Logan-style plaid shirt and jacket, plus the very necessary adamantium claws.

Overall, SamukArts’ ability to draw Black in this fashion is simply amazing, as his work does feel like how the actor would dress up for Halloween if he were to opt for a Logan costume, complete with Wolverine’s signature hairstyle. Of course, knowing Black, he’s probably more prone to go fully overboard in costume, meaning he’s probably a bigger fan of the yellow costume from the comics (or Wolverine memes too).

While it’s probably safe to say Disney won’t be bringing the Black over to play Wolverine, there have been rumors about the actor wanting to be a part of the MCU, with the man himself at times telling the media he’d love to be able to play the Kingpin. Despite his interest, Vincent D’Onofrio probably made the Kingpin role his in the eyes of both Marvel enthusiasts and casual viewers, which explains why many fans want D’Onofrio to appear in Hawkeye so badly.

Those keeping up with Black’s Instagram have probably noticed him dressing up in hilarious and scantily clad Avengers' outfits like Thor in the past, or even his full-on human General Grievous from Star Wars. Nevertheless, one shouldn’t rule out Black, after all the man managed to squeeze himself inside a Tony Hawk game, so who's to say he can't take a few baby steps by diving in Wolverine's own PS5 adventure?
