While the strength of a familia is primarily defined by their god or goddess, the number of adventurers and their skill level also plays a major role in influencing each familia’s overall power. With so many familiae dotted throughout Orario, the competition to become the strongest familia has become all the more fierce.
In terms of the strongest familia of all time, the Zeus Familia has clearly set a precedent, as it presided over the city of Orario on par with the Loki and Freya Familiae. However, after its disbandment, the position of the strongest familia was up for grabs, with two contenders; the Loki Familia and Freya Familia, gunning for the title. With a few new developments in the series, the position for the strongest familia has been a subject of debate among fans.
The Freya Familia
Freya Familia had cemented itself as the strongest Familia in all of Orario, boasting the largest number of adventurers with skill levels far beyond any other adventurer. Goddess Freya herself possessed immense power, as evident from her flourishing familia and her magic that allowed her to get her hands on whatever she desired. Despite her strong presence, Freya herself lived alone atop the tower of Babel, overseeing the entire city of Orario and establishing herself as the strongest goddess in the entire city.
The Freya Familia’s home, Folkvagnr, is an enormous mansion that has the capacity to house the entire familia. The mansion even comprises several training areas, where adventurers trained mercilessly, with all of them bearing one goal in mind – gaining Freya’s attention. Level 3 and 4 adventurers were an extremely common sight in the familia, with their numbers enough to take on twenty middle-ranking familiae. The familia also had the largest number of Level 5 and above adventurers, with Ottar, Orario’s only Level 7 adventurer, leading the guild as the captain.
In terms of brute force and skill level, the Freya Familia is arguably the strongest in all of Orario, however, this statement can only be true for the initial parts of the series as the familia was disbanded after the War Games. Moreover, despite their immense numbers and magic prowess, the Freya Familia lacked one necessary element – teamwork, as the guild members were loyal to no one but Freya herself. The members would even be willing to kill one another simply to gain their goddess’s attention. This glaring weakness is also what crippled the familia, eventually forcing them to be disbanded.
The Loki Familia
The Loki Familia prides itself on its highly efficient teamwork, which led to the familia becoming one of Orario’s strongest guilds. The familia used to be close to the Freya Familia, and even considered them rivals, however, after their disbandment, the Loki Familia took the unofficial title of being Orario’s strongest. With teamwork being the basis of the guild’s success, the Loki Familia consists of an enormous number of adventurers, rivaling that of the Freya Familia.
However, with such high reliance on teamwork, the familia has one massive disadvantage – fighting solo. Individually, the Loki Familia’s members are quite weak and are unable to harness their true strength, and while this was the major aspect that kept them on par with the Freya Familia, it ironically became one of their most glaring weaknesses.
The familia also boasts a unique squadron consisting of eleven elves, all mastered in the arts of concurrent chanting and high-speed combat. Moreover, every single adventurer in the familia is Level 3 or above, a feat that helped the Loki Familia in making a mark among the strongest factions in Orario. Considering all these achievements and feats, it comes as no surprise that the Loki Familia was able to establish itself as one of the city's leading guilds.
The Strongest Familia in Orario
The disbandment of the Freya Familia saw the dissolution of the previously-set status quo, as the Loki Familia emerged as the strongest faction after the demise of their rival. However, many fans state that the Freya Familia should still be considered the strongest in all of Orario, as the members are still active and chances of the guild reuniting once more are also considerably high.
In the meantime, the Loki Familia gets to enjoy the top position in the city of Orario. Even if the Freya Familia were to make a comeback, dethroning the Loki Familia would be quite an ardent task, especially with their ever-growing presence within the city. With the second part of Season 4 now airing, new revelations are expected, especially in relation to the power dynamics within the city of Orario.
