Much of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon?’s plot centers around Orario’s dungeon, a complex labyrinth located beneath the Tower of Babel. With unending floors and bloodthirsty monsters, the dungeon is a ruthless place where only those with exceptional skill and experience can survive, and while it may be the grave of many young adventurers, people from all over the world flock to Orario in a bid to try their hand at the notorious dungeon.

The layout of the dungeon is not that simple, however, as there is no estimate to how deep the dungeon goes, especially since nothing is known of what lies beyond the 61st floor. To give aspiring adventurers an accurate glimpse of what’s to come, the Guild has categorized the dungeon's floors based on their difficulty and depth, considering factors such as types of monsters, spawn rates, and the overall terrain. The floors are divided into four categories; Upper Floors, Middle Floors, Lower Floors, and the Deep Floors. The difficulty of these floors increases progressively, with the Deep Floors being the most treacherous ones.

The Upper Floors

Dungeon Upper Floors

Consisting of floors 1st-12th, the Upper Floors are the easiest floors in the entire dungeon, comprising mostly benign monsters such as goblins and Kobolds. These floors are perfect for first-time adventurers wanting to give the dungeon a try, however, the difficulty increases progressively as the floors move down, as stronger monsters such as Killer Ants and War Shadows spawn on the 5th floor and upwards.

Floor 10th-12th are the hardest Upper Floors, as a heavy mist engulfs the entire area, and powerful monsters encroach upon those who dare to set foot on these floors. Orcs, Infant Dragons, and other large category monsters appear on these floors. Level 2 Infant Dragons are considered as the Floor Boss of the Upper Floors, making it quite risky for Level 1 adventurers to go beyond this floor.

The Middle Floors

Dungeon Middle Floors

The Middle Floors start from floor 13th and go all the way up to floor 24th, with the entrance to the 13th known as the First Line, indicating the beginning of the middle levels. The recommended level for adventurers is Level 2 as the middle levels are significantly harder compared to their Upper Floor counterparts. The topography of these floors also becomes quite difficult to traverse, with the light becoming darker and the air getting moist. The layout of the floors takes on complex forms and the spawn rates of monsters increases dramatically.

Despite a sudden increase in difficulty, the Middle Floors features a safe zone within the 18th floor, also known as Rivira. The safety serves as an area for rest and rejuvenation for adventures as no monsters can spawn within this level. The floor resembles the outside world as crystals shine from the ceiling, lighting up the entire area. Right after the safety zone, the dungeon’s difficulty drastically bumps up, as the next five floors are known as the Large Tree Labyrinth, comprising a forest-based terrain coupled with insect-based monsters.

The Lower Floors

Dungeon Lower Floors

Stretching from the 25th-36th floors, the Lower Floors are where the dungeon starts to rein in on the adventurers with fearsome monsters and unrelenting waves of Irregulars. The 25th-27th floors are known as Water City, home to a gigantic waterfall that leads to a lake on floor 27, where the petrifying floor boss Amphisbaena spawns. Adventurers below Level 3 are sure to meet their demise within the Lower Floors, as the recommended level is 3 and upwards.

The Lower Floors safety zone is the 28th floor, after which the dungeon’s malice strengthens its grip, tremendously increasing spawn rates and terrain complexity. The Guild recommends parties with high level members to traverse through these floors, as some of the monsters that spawn within these floors are near-impossible to kill for Level 2 and 3 adventurers.

The Deep Floors

Dungeon Deep Floors

Starting from Floor 37th, the Deep Floors have an eerie and tense atmosphere, with monsters of inexplicable strength and speed. These floors are known to eat away the mind, sending those fazed by darkness into the pits of despair. The 37th floor has been explored in great depth, yet its area is double the size of Orario. To enter the 38th floor, a floor boss known as Rex Udaeus must be defeated, however, killing this beast is no simple feat. The 39th floor is the Deep Floors' safety zone, with no monsters spawning in this area. Similar to the other levels, the dungeon’s irregularities tend to increase after the safety point, with terrain and monsters increasing in difficulty.

The Glacier Territory is also located within the Deep Floors, starting from floor 59, yet its endpoint remains unknown as the deeper floors still remain widely unexplored. The terrain consists of icy glaciers and cold streams, making it impossible for ill-prepared adventures to make it out alive. Only the Zeus and Hera Familia have traversed through the dungeon this deep, yet little is known about their descent. For now, the dungeon’s Deep Floors remain a place of mystery and horror, however, this narrative may soon change with the latest season of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon? currently airing, as new revelations about the dungeon are bound to be disclosed.
