Sony used Iron Man VR to kick off its first-ever State of Play presentation, so the company clearly has high expectations for the game. Fans can get an idea of whether or not it lives up to the hype by trying the new Iron Man VR demo, which Sony has released to the masses today.
PlayStation VR users can download the Iron Man VR demo from the PlayStation Store. It should be noted that Iron Man VR's original release date was this month, but it has since been pushed back to July 3. Perhaps the release of the Iron Man VR demo is Sony's way of tiding players over until they can get their hands on the full game. Anyone that does plan on getting the full game should definitely consider checking out the demo still, as anyone that downloads the Iron Man VR demo will get the Molten Lava Armor Deco for free.
Based on the Iron Man VR demo trailer, it seems as though the demo will let players go through the airplane sequence that was shown in the game's reveal trailer. Considering this, no one should expect it to be a deep dive into Iron Man VR's story or anything like that, but it should give fans an idea of how the full game will play come July.
Iron Man VR's story will feature the villain Ghost, who was seen in the MCU movie Ant-Man and the Wasp. Ghost in Iron Man VR should differ quite a bit from the character's portrayal in the MCU, but fans will have to wait for the full game to learn more. In the meantime, appearances from various other Iron Man characters should also be included in Iron Man VR, though it's unclear exactly who else will be in the game.
In the meantime, anyone that comes away from the Iron Man VR demo impressed by what they played may want to pre-order it for additional bonuses. Anyone that pre-orders Iron Man VR will get their hands on four additional armor decos, including one based on Iron Man's classic red and yellow look.
