Like last year's iPhone 12, Apple is releasing four different models of the iPhone 13: the iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Max. Starting with the lower-end models, the iPhone 13 Mini starts at $799 while the iPhone 133 at $899. It is worth noting that the pricing for the iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13 is similar to the iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12. Both models will have minimum storage of 128 GB and can go as high as 512 GB. The latest design of the iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13 features a new diagonal cameral layout, allowing the lens to capture 40% more light.

Both models come in five new colors: Pink, Blue, Midnight, Starlight, and Product Red. Additionally, the iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13 sport HDR display, True Tone, Haptic Touch, 800 nits max brightness, 1200 nits max brightness in HDR, and a splash, water, and dust resistance rating of IP68. The only main difference between the iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13 is its size, with the former sporting a 5.4" Super Retina all-screen OLED display, while the latter is slightly bigger at 6.1". In terms of battery, the iPhone 13 Mini promises 1.5 hours more battery life and 2.5 hours more for the iPhone 13, which is slightly better than the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max.

iPhone 13: Release Date and Which Model Should You Buy?

iphone-13-pro-max

Luckily for Apple fans, the iPhone 13 is just around the corner. As announced yesterday, all four models of the iPhone 13 will be available for pre-order tomorrow, September 17, and will officially release in the U.S. on September 24. It is worth noting that the iPhone 13's release date may vary in other territories. Of course, given that Apple is once again offering fans four different phones to choose from, picking which one is best can be difficult. However, it is worth noting that those who currently own any of the iPhone 12 models should probably skip this generation, given that the only major improvements are the cameras, the A15 chips, and the faster refresh rate on the Pro models.

However, for anyone who badly need to upgrade, the base iPhone Mini works well for those who want a capable phone that is easy to carry given its small size. On the other hand, those who find the iPhone 13 Mini too small are better off with the slightly more expensive iPhone 13. Lastly, for users who love taking photos and videos and require a 1TB storage and faster refresh rate, the iPhone 13 Pro is the best bet. Of course, for anyone who needs the maximum specs plus a huge screen to consume media on, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is obviously the best option.

iPhone 13 goes on pre-sale September 17 and enters stores on September 24.
