Who is Angstrom Levy?

Angstrom Levy has the unexplained ability to open portals to other dimensions. With that power, he can access any eventuality, learn any information, and enlist the help of multiple versions of his allies and enemies. Levy initially uses his power to gather knowledge from alternate iterations of himself. Levy is first seen alerting the multidimensional equivalents of his existence. Traveling between dimensions can be extremely dangerous, as there's no way to know where one is going before one gets there. Many realities are under the heel of a vicious dictator, destroyed by hostile aliens, or consumed by an exploding star. To that end, Levy attempted to make dimensional travel easier.

Levy contacted the Mauler Twins, masters of brain transference and cloning technology. He promised them freedom from prison in exchange for a machine that would allow Levy to copy the minds of his alternate selves onto his own. Levy summons a small army of alternate Maulers to get the job done. The project is on the verge of success when Mark "Invincible" Grayson bursts into the room. Invincible attempts to arrest the Maulers, but he's overwhelmed by their variants. When Levy discovers that the Maulers are preparing to kill Invincible, his decent instincts take over. Levy halts the machine, causing it to malfunction and overload. His device explodes, disfiguring his face and severely damaging his internal organs. Levy is rebuilt by surgeons, who replace his failing limbs with superior prosthetics. Unfortunately, Levy is driven mad by his injuries, leading him to relinquish his original motivation in favor of revenge.

What does Angstrom Levy want?

Levy is ostensibly noble when he is initially introduced. He was willing to work with criminals, but his chief desire was to help humanity with the knowledge of alternate universes. All of his kindness and generosity vanished with his injury. Levy's mind may have been tainted by the recollections of his variants. Regardless of the incident that changed him, Levy would spend the next several years attempting to destroy Mark. Levy traveled to an alternate dimension where Invincible's secret identity was public knowledge, allowing him to return with his personal information. Levy takes Mark's family hostage. He intends to gradually grind the hero down before killing him. When his initial plan falls apart, leaving him beaten within an inch of his life in a remote wasteland, he adopts a more strategic approach.

Much of Levy's plan to destroy Mark revolves around recruiting evil versions of Mark to ruin his reputation. Levy will unleash an army of evil Invincibles upon an unsuspecting world. The strength of a Viltrumite multiplied hundreds of times threatens to destroy the Earth. Though he only intends to frame the original Mark for the crimes, the impact of his actions could be far more dangerous. Levy's madness and lust for revenge could be the catalyst for the end of days, and Mark could be responsible.
