Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox Series X console, revealing the next-gen hardware's specifications, and won't be discussing price and release date for some time yet. That means there's nothing but game news coming from Xbox for the foreseeable future. The first Xbox event focused on games is less than 24 hours away. A special Inside Xbox presentation focusing on third-party Xbox Series X games airs on May 7 at 8:00 am PT. And according to early info, it's going to be substantial.

Xbox marketing general manager Aaron Greenberg revealed the length of the Inside Xbox video on Twitter recently. According to Greenberg, the full Inside Xbox presentation will run almost an hour long. That's almost an hour of third-party game announcements and reveals strictly focusing on titles for the Xbox Series X, or Xbox One games that will receive Smart Delivery for the Xbox Series X.

Only one game is confirmed for the upcoming Inside Xbox show so far, that being the Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Ubisoft unveiled Assassin's Creed Valhalla last week with a cinematic trailer. Gameplay was promised for this week, which was confirmed to be during Inside Xbox. Ubisoft is promising Assassin's Creed Valhalla gameplay running straight from Xbox Series X hardware, which may become the first proper opportunity to compare next-gen visual fidelity to current-gen.

The May 7 Inside Xbox event also isn't Xbox's only planned event. Xbox boss Phil Spencer has said that from now until the Xbox Series X's launch, the team will be sharing more and more information about games. There's also certain to be info about the Xbox Series X's price and release date soon.

As for when Xbox Game Studios will be talking about first-party games, that's also been confirmed, though it's going to be a bit of a wait, because the first-party event won't be until July. Some more console information will be shared in June, though.

From May through June and July, all the way up to the Xbox Series X's launch, Xbox will be bringing fans plenty of news and announcements. The whole series of Xbox events are being called Xbox 20/20. What comes after July will likely just be more information about what Xbox has revealed up to that point. Either way, COVID-19 or not,  there's a lot of great Xbox content coming to fans very soon.

The Xbox Series X releases holiday 2020.
