While movie fans hope that every new film will have characters experiencing a range of emotions, nothing is quite like the 2015 Pixar film Inside Out. Riley Anderson (Kaitlyn Diaz) moves with her family to San Francisco and audiences are treated to the thoughts and feelings of the five emotions in her head: Fear, Disgust, Anger, Joy, and Sadness.

As Riley gets used to her new city and realizes that it's okay to feel however she's feeling, the movie has some memorable quotes that are as hilarious, warm and cozy as the sweet movie itself. It's hard not to laugh when looking back on these great lines.

Riley Doesn't Want To Eat Broccoli

"Yukee!"

Riley in Inside Out

Inside Out 2 has a great premise as it will focus on Riley as a teenager, and in the first movie, there are scenes of her as a young child. Audiences see her getting older and having various experiences until the moment that she and her parents move to a new place and she is scared, upset, and nervous.

A common thread throughout the film is Riley's hatred of broccoli, which is so relatable since most kids dislike broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and other green vegetables. Inside Out is such a family-friendly movie because younger viewers will understand why Riley is so grossed out and adults will laugh at the memory of when they felt the same way.

Anger Can't Believe The Pizza Toppings

"Congratulations San Francisco, you've ruined pizza! First the Hawaiians, and now YOU!"

Anger, Disgust, Joy, Fear and Sadness in Inside Out

Anger (Lewis Black) is one of the most hilarious emotions in Inside Out and this quote about pizza is their best one. Anger is mad that Riley's family is eating a pizza that has broccoli on it. This line is so good as there have been so many debates about whether pineapple belongs on pizza and Anger manages to slip this into the conversation as well.

Since Riley is still a child, she is upset and concerned about the changes that are happening to her, and she focuses on food because she is too young to be in control of the pieces of her life. Riley is as memorable as the best horror movie kid characters because audiences are able to see inside her mind and learn all about her concerns.

Disgust Is Freaking Out About A Grape

"The grape touched the ground. It's poisoned."

Two Inside Out actors won't be in the sequel, but Mindy Kaling's Disgust and Bill Hader's Fear are wonderful, memorable parts of the original film. Some of the funniest lines in the movie are all about food, which makes sense since Riley is young and eating at the dinner table with her parents or having lunch at school are significant experiences.

Inside Out is a Pixar movie with a high Rotten Tomatoes rating and the dialogue is definitely one reason why it's so excellent. Disgust's quote about how she can't allow Riley to eat a piece of fruit that has fallen on the floor is so relatable and true. Disgust delivers every line with amazing comedic timing.

Joy Gives Herself A Compliment

"You'll be in charge of the console, keeping Riley happy all day long. And may I add I love your dress, it's adorable."

Joy And Sadness In Inside Out

Amy Poehler's Duncanville was cancelled and it might not be a TV series that many people are familiar with, but movie fans love the actor and her comedic talents. She was perfectly cast as Joy, the most positive of all emotions in Riley's head. Joy is always trying to convince both Riley and the other four emotions that life is good, they should stay calm, and something wonderful is about to happen.

In one of the best scenes from the movie, Joy is helping Riley get ready for school. While the others are nervous and scared, Joy is in a great mood and staying optimistic. The fact that Joy compliments herself for wearing a nice dress is the cherry on top of this sweet movie full of endearing quotes.

Disgust Is Still Thinking About The Pizza

"Pizza is weird here..."

Mindy Kaling's Never Have I Ever feels autobiographical as the actor and writer put her heart and soul into the Netflix series, which has had three seasons so far with a fourth one coming soon. One of Kaling's best roles is as Disgust in Inside Out and the proof is in this hilarious quote that, once again, talks about the strange pizza that none of the emotions are a fan of.

While it would be funny to mention this topic once, the fact that the characters continue to bring it up is why Inside Out is one of the most unforgettable films ever released by Pixar. Disgust just can't get over someone putting a vegetable on this delicious and favorite food, and it's fair to say that many fans of the movie agree.
