The first season of Inside Job was a hilarious romp through some of the most classic conspiracy theories known to mankind. They went after the Illuminati, clones, JFK, the moon landing, and so many others. The show will be returning to Netflix with at least ten more episodes since the original order was twenty. When that will be is unknown.

In the meantime let’s think about where the gang could go next. It almost seems like they covered the entire history of conspiracy theories both modern and ancient. However, there is still plenty left on the table. These do not include current conspiracies that may be too touchy yet to discuss. Those should be left alone. Instead, let’s examine the more “fun” side of the paranormal for Inside Job season two.

8 Time Traveling Nicolas Cage

Brett from Inside Job

This theory may be a bit obscure but it goes into the idea of time traveling. There is a theory out there that Nicolas Cage is a time traveler because of a photo. The man pictured in it looks like the famous actor. This theory falls apart a little as Cage doesn’t look that young, unlike other actors that seemingly don’t age like Paul Rudd.

Still, there is some material Inside Job can mine here for season 2. Maybe there can be a group of celebrities that can time travel for some nefarious scheme.

7 The Supernatural

Mothman from Inside Job

Season one covered a lot of supernatural elements and crypto creatures. There was Big Foot, the Mothman, the Loch Ness Monster, and many others. What it didn’t touch were ghosts and vampires. Both of those topics would be good for single episodes or the characters could split up vampire and ghost duty.

It would be funny to see the show parody shows like Ghost Adventures or True Blood in this pursuit for the truth. Of the two, ghosts seem more plausible and could go into many theories.

6 Heaven And Hell

JR from Inside Job

Is there an afterlife? If there is, is that realm of existence tied to one religion, or is it more of a cosmic thing? Season one didn’t tackle religion that much. Trying to figure out if God or multiple gods are real could be a mind trip. This could get into the debate over evolution and the Big Bang as well.

Perhaps the Devil is part of this whole world order of government. He does exist in another science-heavy comedy cartoon, Rick and Morty, so it’s not unreasonable to see Inside Job explore some aspects of religion too.

5 The Multiverse

Reagan and Brett from Inside Job

The idea of the multiverse was huge in 2021. That idea isn’t going to go away anytime soon. Due to the success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, other companies are presumably going to follow suit. Jumping into a multiverse could be a way to show time travel to tie that back into the Nicolas Cage idea.

How Reagan and the others open up portals into other dimensions will be a mystery. They could always jump into the Bermuda Triangle. Maybe that can act as a gateway into other worlds. There are some theories about that.

4 The Titanic Never Sank

Magic Myc from Inside Job

The Titanic is one of the most famous disasters of all time. It’s also one of the highest-grossest movies of all time. What some may not know is that there is a theory the ship never sank. This isn’t a moon landing situation like the sinking was faked. It wasn’t. There was a boat that sank but it was just not the right one.

The idea is that the Titanic’s sister ship, the Olympic, was quickly altered to be the Titanic instead. People have compared pictures of both ships, such as their portholes, to show evidence of this theory. Inside Job could get to the bottom of debunking the theory comedically or prove it to be right for some weird coverup.

3 The Matrix Theory

Reagan from Inside Job

The Matrix theory is also referred to as the simulation theory. The idea is that we, as humans, do not exist. We are living out simulated lives from the past. Look out for glitches because it is real.

That may seem silly but people believe it. Is society hooked up to giant tubes to be used as batteries for robots like in the movie? That part has never been thought through. There are many variations to this theory and it’s one of the more prevalent concepts still debated heavily online. Oddly, the first season never went into it.

2 Disney’s Frozen Head

Rand from Inside Job

A lot of people may be aware of the idea that Walt Disney, the founder of Disney, is thought to be cryogenically frozen. That technology is still not around today, or at least it’s not as prevalent as movies from decades ago would have viewers believe.

It’s a popular idea that has been joked about in more pieces of media than an entire city could count. A lesser-known spinoff from this theory is that Disney made the movie Frozen to offset Google searches. Searching for Disney’s Frozen will not result in the man’s frozen head but the movie. That sounds like something Gigi would come up with in the show.

1 The Lost City Of Atlantis

Glenn from Inside Job

Atlantis is mentioned in season one, but it never gets a full breakdown. Of all these theories, this seems like the most plausible to make it into Inside Job. These references in season one were probably planting the seeds for the next part.

Getting into Atlantis could bring many theories together. Maybe the gateway can be found through The Bermuda Triangle. Maybe Atlanteans discovered a way to time travel. The possibilities are endless. They could even poke fun at the animated film from Disney.
