The Devolver Digital-published horror title Inscryption will become available on Xbox after its initial launch two years ago. Inscryption is a mysterious card-based deck building game with many creepy twists and turns for players to discover.Regarded as one of the best indie games of 2021, Inscryption was first released for PC in October of that year and later came to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch in August and December 2022, respectively. As one of the leading indie game publishers in the industry, having supported games like Gris, Katana Zero, Death's Door, and Cult of the Lamb among many others, Devolver Digital's games are typically highly praised and sought after. Upon the game's PC reveal and subsequent release in 2021, many console fans were left wondering when the critically acclaimed indie title would arrive on their platform of choice. With two of the big three console platforms covered, now Xbox gamers will finally be able to experience the nightmare as well.RELATED: Inscryption Developer Details Hidden Horrors And Meta ElementsDevolver Digital declared on Twitter that the Daniel Mullins-developed indie horror title Inscryption is finally available now on Xbox. The announcement came with a brief, one-minute trailer giving potential players a look at some of the card-based madness and reminding Xbox gamers who've been clamoring to get their hands on this game for two years what Inscryption is all about.

While this is amazing news for Xbox fans who enjoy Devolver's indie games, the bulk of the publisher's upcoming lineup looks to be skipping out on Xbox and even PlayStation as of now. Currently, the only game slated for all three consoles is the Zelda-inspired adventure game The Plucky Squire coming later this year. Other interesting-looking Devolver games set to launch in 2023 like Gunbrella, Skate Story, and Anger Foot are only slated for PC, with Doinksoft's Gunbrella also launching on Switch. While this may seem disappointing for fans of Devolver Digital's games on Xbox and PlayStation, it's common for Devolver games to launch initially on PC and make their way to the console platforms a year or so down the line, as seen most recently with Inscryption.

With the summer fast approaching it wouldn't be a surprise to see Devolver continue its annual summer showcase antics. While the publisher traditionally only shows off a handful of indie titles, this year's event could provide Xbox and PlayStation players some levity regarding past Devolver titles like Card Shark and Demon Throttle or upcoming games like the aforementioned Skate Story or Gunbrella landing on their platforms. Until then, Xbox gamers can finally enjoy the horrors of Daniel Mullins' Inscryption.

Inscryption is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
