Released in 2014, Infamous: Second Son was a showpiece title for the PlayStation 4. It's currently available as a PlayStation Plus Premium title and is still one of the best games on the service. From the same team that created Ghost of Tsushima, Infamous: Second Son still holds up with its beautiful recreation of Seatle. Infamous: Second Son is one of the best superhero games available on any platform, giving the protagonist several powers to use and upgrade within the game.
The game also offers replayability based on Delsin's Karma and whether or not he used good or evil methods to deal with threats. Taking the supervillain route is arguably the most fun, but, unfortunately, Delsin's appearance doesn't change much to reflect his actions. His hat and jacket change to red or blue based on the player's actions, but it would have been better to customize Delsin's appearance more. However, one can still change the look and design of his jacket as the game progresses.
How To Unlock New Jackets In Infamous Second Son
Even though Delin has a range of jackets he can wear in Infamous Second Son, there are tasks on the map that the player must clear before they become available. Before trying to change Delsin's jacket, players must relinquish D.U.P control and unlock a District Showdown. The District Showdown icon is represented on the map by a phone symbol. The phone symbol is locked until Delsin lowers D.U.P control to 30% or below. To do this, Delsin must destroy or defeat the following:
- D.U.P command centers
- Tracker Drones
- Security Cameras
- Scanning Stations
- Secret Agents
- Hidden Cameras
- Locate Audio Logs
- Destroying Jammers
- Stencil Art
With the above located and destroyed, Delsin can activate the District Showdown by spray painting a large billboard covered in D.U.P propaganda and calling it in.
With the D.U.P forces defeated and the District Showdown cleared, Delsin will get rewarded with a new jacket and unlock a Fast Travel point in Infamous Second Son. However, the new jackets are changeable within the menu screen. Those hoping to change Delsin's jacket in Infamous Second Son can do so by following the instructions below:
- Within the game, press the options button on the PS4/PS5 controller.
- Press the R2 button twice.
- The player will now be in the Surveillance Target - Rowe, Delsin screen.
- Press the X button on the controller.
- Now press left or right on the D-Pad to change Delsin's jacket.
Remember, Delsin can only unlock and change jackets in Infamous Second Son after unlocking the first District Showdown.
