Infamous Second Son sees a brand-new protagonist, Delsin Rowe, take on Seattle as he strives to liberate the rainy city from the iron clutches of the Department of Unified Protection (D.U.P). In Infamous Second Son, to save his tribe and his fellow conduits from persecution, Delsin must use every tool at his disposal and sow the seeds of chaos by disrupting all D.U.P operations he comes across.
Delsin’s tasks take him all across the city, completing various quests and side activities to help release districts from D.U.P occupation. While Delsin has some Spider-Man-like traversal abilities in his mastery of conduit powers, with only two bridges connecting the playable area, reaching opposite sides of the city can become a chore. This guide will demonstrate how to unlock fast travel to help reach Delisn’s objectives quickly and more efficiently.
It's worth noting that players cannot access the second half of the map until the main quest, “The Test,” which takes place after Delsin Rowe acquaints himself with Laura Bailey's Fetch and completes his first karma-based quest.
How to Unlock Fast Travel
Infamous Second Son features numerous ways in which to free Seattle from the control of the D.U.P. from spray-painting images on public property to causing maximum chaos by destroying mobile command centers; Delsin can make use of his powers in many different ways with Infamous' patented karma system. To unlock fast travel to any given district, the player must engage with these side activities first.
Each district begins the game as 100% D.U.P controlled, and each has a number of side activities available, highlighted by the tab on the right side of the map screen. As the player completes these side activities, eventually, the “District Showdown” will unlock when D.U.P control is reduced to 30% or less. Marked by a yellow icon with a black telephone, players will want to head here as soon as possible and prepare for a tough fight.
Interacting with the District Showdown will trigger waves of enemies to attack Delsin in increasingly difficult encounters as more Showdowns are completed. Upon defeating the D.U.P forces, players will unlock fast travel to and from that district while they aren’t engaged in a quest. What's more, completing these side activities and Showdowns will help with grabbing Infamous Second Son's platinum trophy.
In order to fast travel to a district, visit the completed Showdown location, marked on the map by a small black icon with a fast-forward symbol. When Delsin arrives, approach the vandalized billboard and tap up on the D-pad to select a fast travel destination.
Infamous Second Son is currently exclusive to PS4.
