This month, Amazon Prime Gaming members are able to grab the Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade video game for their Amazon Games library. This comes at a time when Disney is preparing to expand the series with Indiana Jones 5 next year, and many fans are excited to see what that will entail. While the game may be a bit dated, it serves as a great way for Prime Gaming members to jump back into the franchise, and the Indiana Jones fun should not stop there.

There have not been a lot of Indiana Jones video games released for PC, but the ones that have released offer a decent amount of fun for fans of the series. There are many adventures all bringing Dr. Jones on wild adventures, and the series even got two separate LEGO adaptations that could all be great Prime Gaming additions. While there does not seem to be any more Indiana Jones adventures planned for Prime Gaming for the foreseeable future, that should all change as the hype for the fifth film grows.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is considered by many fans to be the best Indiana Jones movie so far, and the game does its best to capture that same energy. It was developed by Lucasfilm Games in 1989, and it brought the film's story to the graphic adventure genre. Players take control of the infamous Indiana Jones as he embarks on an adventure to find the Holy Grail and save his father. It very closely follows the events of the film, and it also expands it with new story bits that some Indiana Jones fans may find worthwhile.

The game was very well received when it first launched, but it is very dated by today's standards. It presents the player with a pixilated version of the film, and then lets them decide what Indiana Jones will do from a list of actions. They have to navigate various locales to uncover secrets, and must overcome multiple puzzles throughout the course of the game. It is not an action heavy title, but it might be one of the best ways to experience the end of the original Indiana Jones trilogy.

More Indiana Jones Games Should Follow

Indiana Jones 5 Harrison Ford

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is a nice addition to Amazon Prime Gaming, and it will allow fans to dip their toes back into the adventures of Dr. Jones. This comes at a great time as Disney prepares to continue the series with Indiana Jones 5, and the hype has just started building as the first images from Indiana Jones 5 have begun rolling out. Fans are very interested to see what James Mangold will bring to the series, and it may just catapult Indy back into the spotlight. If it does, then Amazon should really consider capitalizing on it with even more Indiana Jones offerings.

There are not a lot of Indiana Jones games for PC, but the ones that do exist offer a decent amount of fun for fans. There are other graphic adventures that bring Indy on new adventures like Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, and there have also been a couple action titles that would make good addition to Prime Gaming like Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. The series has also received two different LEGO adaptations that allow players to experience the entire film series in LEGO form, and an entire set of titles that follow a younger version of Indy called The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade should only be the beginning of Amazon Prime Gaming's Indiana Jones offerings. The build up to Indiana Jones 5 makes now a great time for even more adventures following everyone's favorite archeologist. Not only could it capitalize on the hype for the next film, but it could also give fans something to do while they wait for Harrison Ford to don the whip once again.

Amazon Prime Gaming members can grab Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade for PC until November 30.
