During the Super Bowl, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny unveiled its newest tv spot. The preview includes more footage of Harrison Ford and Mads Mikkelsen's villain in action.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is hitting theaters in June. For the last time, Harrison Ford will reprise his iconic role of Indiana Jones, a reputable archeologist and professor. Indy was last seen in 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, where he reunited with and married Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen). Also tagging along for the ride was Indiana Jones' long-lost son, Shia LaBeouf's Mutt Williams.

The Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny Super Bowl spot packs a lot of action in its short runtime. The TV spot features some brand-new footage, including a better look at a de-aged Ford, who will play a younger Indy in flashbacks. Notably, the trailer also features a new look at Sallah's (John Rhys-Davies) return. Sallah appears to be an eager collaborator with Indiana Jones again, cheering his friend on from the sidelines.

The Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny TV spot also showcases Phoebe Waller-Bridge's character Helena, Indiana Jones' goddaughter. In the full trailer, she appears slightly annoyed at her godfather's insistence that he wants to help her, but she returns the favor in the Super Bowl spot. When Indiana's on a plane, he finds his goddaughter hanging from the open cockpit. Asking her what she's doing there, he discovers she's there to help him. The clip ends just as Indy and Helena are set to parachute out.

Mikkelsen's villain, Jurgen Voller, is also displayed in the Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny TV spot. Voller and Indiana Jones have a history, but Voller struggles to remember their first encounter. Voller appears to be the villain Indy faces in the de-aged portion of the film. Since Jorgen is a Nazi, Indiana is immediately ready to fight and take him down in his usual fashion.

While Indiana Jones 5's title artifact is a mystery, the TV spot showcases some of the other characters in the film. Up until now, marketing has mainly focused on Ford's final return to the role, so Indiana himself has been front-and-center. Now that the film is closer to release, it looks like promotional materials will explore the other characters so that audiences are more familiar with them. Helena, in particular, looks like she'll be a great character. Her banter with Ford looks like it'll be an excellent rapport, and her penchant for adventure makes her an interesting reflection of Indy's younger years.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 30, 2023.
