The Battlefield games have always given players a ludicrous amount of freedom when it has come to deciding how to tackle objectives. One Battlefield 2042 player took this to heart when he thought of a more interesting way to dispatch enemy planes.

Battlefield 2042's Portal mode allows players to use assets from many previous Battlefield games in order to craft their own custom experiences. Many players have used these tools to their advantage to create memorable moments and fun game modes. One player, in particular, decided that he knew a more effective method of taking down enemy planes while playing in the mode and used it to devastating effect. The player climbed aboard the wing of a plane and began to hurl C4 at the incoming enemy planes.

The player aimed and timed his throws just right to down the opposition planes and was able to effectively kill two different players with this method. The freedom that Battlefield games give players is second to none, which is why the internet has become littered with videos of gamers performing insane feats and funny stunts. Back in December, a Battlefield 2042 player posted a video showing how an enemy avoided him by switching seats in a vehicle. The player could not help but laugh as he tried to shoot an enemy who was teleporting from seat to seat to avoid his fire.

Another clip that has done the rounds on the internet shows how one Battlefield 2042 player was able to snipe an enemy player from over 2000 meters away. This ridiculous shot once again took perfect timing, a significant amount of skill, and a good understanding of how the game's sniping mechanics work. Moments like these are often nearly exclusive to Battlefield games, which is why players return to the franchise year after year.

Battlefield 2042 also brought some new mechanics to the tried and true formula that players have been able to use to their advantage. Two mechanics that stand out are the new wingsuit and the ability to call in vehicle drops. One player used both of these mechanics to their advantage when they decided to swoop down and steal an enemy tank before it had even touched the ground.

Xbox Live Gold subscribers that want to join in on the Battlefield fun should be sure to do so quickly. This is because Battlefield 2042 is currently free to all Xbox Live Gold subscribers for a limited time.

Battlefield 2042 is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
