The requirements for the PC system to run the first-person shooter Immortals of Aveum have been revealed, and they appear to be rather hefty, demanding a considerable amount of hardware prowess. These robust requirements are likely to disappoint players who were eagerly anticipating the release of Immortals of Aveum but possess lower-tier graphics cards.

Published by EA, Immortals of Aveum is the debut title from Ascendant Studios, crafted by veteran developers formerly of Sledgehammer Games, Bungie, and others. The game unfolds in the mystical realm of Aveum, where players embody Jak, a late-blooming magic user who, despite starting as an orphan without powers, becomes a crucial figure in the Immortals of Aveum's millennia-long Everwar. Thrust into the Order of Immortals, Lucium's magical elite, Jak and his allies must thwart the sinister plans of Rasharn leader Sandrakk, ensuring the survival of Lucium and the magical essence at the heart of their world.

As the release date for Ascendant Studios' Immortals of Aveum approaches, the studio has unveiled the updated PC system requirements for optimal gameplay. These requirements are categorized into four different tiers, ranging from Low to Ultra settings, accommodating various levels of gaming performance. For a 1080p/60fps experience on Low to Medium settings, the recommended graphics cards are the NVIDIA RTX 2080 Super or the Radeon RX 5700 XT, with a CPU of i7-9700 or Ryzen 7 3700X. For an enhanced 1440p/60fps experience, the game requires the RTX 3080 Ti or RX 6800XT graphics cards, supported by an i7-12700K or Ryzen 7 5700X CPU.

For enthusiasts seeking the highest level of graphical fidelity, the Ultra settings offer gameplay at 4K resolution and an impressive 120 frames per second. However, achieving this level of performance demands significant hardware power, calling for the GeForce RTX 4090 GPU or the Radeon RX 7900 XTX. Players targeting 4K resolution at a steady 60 frames per second can opt for the GeForce RTX 4080 with 20 GB VRAM or the RX 7900 XTX with 16 GB VRAM. In all scenarios, a system with 16 GB of RAM and 70 GB of free storage space is a prerequisite, with the added recommendation of utilizing an SSD for optimum performance.

Undoubtedly, these requirements are notably higher than what many might have anticipated. However, this heightened demand could be attributed to Immortals of Aveum's utilization of Unreal Engine 5.1, which harnesses cutting-edge features like Nanite, Lumen, and Niagara.

Immortals of Aveum launches on August 22, 2023, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
