On November 16, Immortals of Aveum will receive its biggest update (1.0.6.0) since its release, bringing with it a plethora of highly requested features, free new gameplay content, and much, much more. It's also worth noting that another update (1.0.5.5) ahead of then is now live, bringing performance boosts to both the console and PC versions of Immortals of Aveum.

The goodies don't end with 1.0.5.5 or 1.0.6.0, either. Ascendant Studios has announced that a free trial of Immortals of Aveum is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S alongside this update, with a PC demo on Steam rolling out sometime in the second half of November. While Immortals of Aveum has had a bumpy few weeks since launch, it's clear how dedicated the studio is to improving the final product, and these features may bring quite a few folks back.

New Game Plus

New Game Plus has been one of the biggest feature requests for Immortals of Aveum since launch, and it'll soon have it. New Game Plus works as one would expect, with players able to carry over most spells minus a handful, with higher levels for fear, and more.

  • Upgrade your Epic and Legendary gear to higher levels with the Forge in NG+
  • Rebalanced enemy health, damage, and abilities
  • Jak carries forward most spells and abilities unlocked in a previous playthrough
    • Augment spells cannot carry forward due to their unlock requirements
  • Adjustments made to experience and currency earned while playing

Grand Magnus Difficulty

When booting up New Game Plus in Immortals of Aveum, players can also adjust the difficulty and select the new Grand Magnus Difficulty, if they so choose. It can also be selected with any new playthrough. Ascendant Studios does not outline the exact changes this mode offers, but it promises to be the "most challenging mode yet" as players face off with Sandrakk's army.

The Echollector Content Update

Once players reach Glaivegate in Immortals of Aveum's story, they will also have the chance to check out the new endgame with The Echollector content update. It is a new endgame objective players can enjoy new lore and content with, where Jak must purify the Path due to the events of the Everwar. Essentially, the weakening path has seen the consciouscape break out across Aveum, creating portals to new undiscovered areas called Shatterfanes. Jak must put an end to each of these Shatterfans and the forces siphoning the Path's power, promising new engaging boss fights for the game.
