The house is located in Tomales, California and the address is 3871 Tomales Petaluma Road. The house was listed on Airbnb and people could book it for a single night. The house works so well in the Scream franchise because it seems very normal and unassuming but, of course, it's the place where teens get killed during wild parties.

Michael Myers's Childhood Home From Halloween

Michael Myers's house in Halloween

Michael Myers is an iconic horror villain and his childhood home in the 1978 film Halloween is iconic as well. The others on the street know that there is where he killed his parents and sister when he was a kid, and it's definitely terrible to imagine living in this neighborhood.

Unlike some of the other houses in classic horror movies, this house isn't very pretty and looks a bit dull, dated, and sad from the outside. Fans see the house in Halloween Kills when Little John and Big John are living in it. While they don't seem to mind living in this eerie place, Michael comes back and murders them, so it does end up being bad luck for them.

The Poltergeist Home

While the 2015 Poltergeist remake isn't very good, the 1982 movie is worth celebrating, and the movie has an iconic and classic horror movie house.

The Simi Valley, California house is located at the address 4267 Roxbury Street and from the outside, it looks peaceful, beautiful, and like a great, happy place to live. This makes it a perfect horror movie setting since fans know that the most idyllic towns and locations make for the freakiest stories. Poltergeist is one of the creepiest classic horror movies because it's about an ordinary family who experience an extraordinary paranormal event in a seemingly peaceful and regular house.

Horror fans will never forget the horrifying house in the 1979 film The Amityville Horror. For many people, this is definitely the ultimate haunted house, and there are several Amityville Horror movies. According to Movie Locations, Kathleen and George Lutz, who the story is inspired by, lived in Long Island at the address 112 Ocean Avenue and they were freaked out by paranormal happenings in their home. The '70s movie was shot in Tom's River at the address 18 Brooks Road.

In the '70s movie, George (James Brolin) and Kathy Lutz (Margot Kidder) move into the house, and they start experiencing really strange, creepy things. The movie has a smart and practical ending as the family decides to leave the house behind and live far away. The house itself looks like a scary place to live as staring at the lights that are on in the upstairs windows is enough to send a chill down anyone's spine.

Nancy Thompson's House In A Nightmare On Elm Street

Nancy's house in A Nightmare On Elm Street

Heather Langenkamp's A Nightmare On Elm Street character Nancy Thompson lives at 1428 Elm Street and this is one of the locations where Freddy Krueger enters people's dreams.

The house looks pretty and perfect, which adds to the scare factor of the film. The fact that Nancy and her friends live in a typical, suburban-looking neighborhood is the entire point, as they learn the story of Freddy Krueger and how parents killed him years earlier when he was tormenting kids. This looks like the kind of house where nothing bad could ever happen and it seems like that would be true of the entire street, too. But Nancy and her pals know that Freddy is never going to leave them alone and they start becoming terrified of going to sleep in case he visits them in their nightmares. According to The L.A. Times, the house was on sale for $3.25 million in the fall of 2021 and it's a Dutch Colonial style.
