The road to Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is nearing its end. Just two weeks remain before the hack-and-slash prequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild launches, and with so few days to go, Nintendo and Koei Tecmo have treated fans to new screenshots and gameplay footage, a lot more.

The two have already shown off quite a bit of the game, having released trailers and screenshots at a steady pace since its surprise reveal in September. But the new content, which is being shared this week across Japanese publications like Famitsu and Inside-Games, provides fans with the most substantial amount of content outside of the recently-released demo for Age of Calamity. Within their coverage is dozens of fresh gameplay screenshots and multiple clips showing off more of Link, Zelda, Impa, and the four Champions’ movesets.

Most of these cover similar ground to what’s been shown of the Dynasty Warriors-esque gameplay, but there are a few intriguing reveals among all of the new stuff. It was announced last week that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will let players control the colossal Divine Beasts, and this was featured in one of the clips, which shows first-person gameplay of the elephant-like Vah Ruta as it bombards enemies with a variety of devastating attacks.

But perhaps the biggest reveal from this batch of screenshots is the first good look at Age of Calamity’s new mystery villain. After showing them either from behind or in closeups in previous teasers, the image pulls back to reveal their full face, though it’s not enough to paint a clearer picture of who this character is or what their role in the story will be. Meanwhile, other notable screenshots confirm that Breath of the Wild’s Sheikah Shrines will appear in the game as playable locations.

All of the new footage and imagery sadly doesn’t touch upon the content that’s being rumored. Following the demo’s release last week, dataminers appeared to uncover Age of Calamity’s full list of playable characters, which claims that the game will feature 18 characters in total. The legitimacy of this list is still unclear, but it’s possible fans may get an answer in the coming days.

Nintendo and Koei Tecmo may have a few more surprises in store beyond the mystery villain and the playable Divine Beasts. From what the demo reveals of the game’s plot, it’s possible that Age of Calamity may end up changing Breath of the Wild’s story in a big way, which means the journey to the events of Breath of the Wild might veer far from what most players are expecting. Only two weeks remain before they can find out.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will launch on November 20 for the Switch.
