Now that it's December, many video games are getting into the holiday spirit. Examples include Pokemon GO's Holiday event with winter-themed items and Pokemon, Killing Floor 2's Christmas Crackdown event, and more. Now, players have a glimpse at what Ubisoft has in store for Hyper Scape this December.

Earlier today, Ubisoft released a new trailer for Hyper Scape revealing the Winter Festival Event with music, guns, emotes, and new skins. The trailer embraces the Christmas spirit with a cheerful and light-hearted tone it takes with the characters the winter-themed environments, and even the choice of music. The trailer itself is short, but shows off the game's celebration of the holiday season.

The Hyper Scape Winter Festival Event trailer's content is mostly filled with animations of the game characters engaging in some Christmas-related activity to classical music from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker. Characters are skating, jumping, and dancing in cheer, with a quick shot of one sipping hot cocoa on a snow-covered balcony.

There's even a character snowboarding and another jumping for joy before they get to the real action. Once the trailer reaches the halfway point it starts to show battles with all the chaos of Hyper Scape's fast-paced gameplay on display. It starts with the robot nutcracker emerging from a snowmobile at high speeds before pandemonium is unleashed. Characters are shooting at each other with high-tech mini-guns, grenade launchers, rifles, and more.

However, the action is quick before the trailer ends on the Christmas event release date: December 15 to December 29. The trailer mostly shows off winter and Christmas-themed skins for the Hyper Scape characters, and a new entry vehicle for players. Players can look the part for the event in the futuristic battle royale. This new trailer comes hot off the heels of Ubisoft's latest update, which added crossplay in Hyper Scape last week.

This update came as part of a major plan by Ubisoft to overhaul Hyper Scape. The new, automatic crossplay feature is meant to make matchmaking between console players the standard going forward. However, PC players can only join when invited by other players through friends' lists. This means players across multiple platforms will be able to join the fun in the winter madness too.

Hyper Scape is free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
