While the game tries to achieve the perfect balance between all of the different playable characters in an effort to make them all viable, some are better than others. A lot of the time, this will depend on an individual's playstyle, as characters tend to be divided into their combat type such as melee, long-range, or mid-range. Still, some stand out above the rest as better choices.

10 Gyeonjo: The Fearsome Tank

Mimi versus Jun in Hunter's Arena Legends

Gyeonjo is a towering beast, one of the hardcore Tank warrior characters featured in Hunter's Arena: Legends. With great sustain through his impressive HP and Defense stats, Gyeonjo is suited for players who like to have longer fights and have the ability to last even despite any skill disparities between them and an opponent.

Gyeonjo can use his Shield as an Attack through his abilities to unleash massive amounts of damage, making him viable for attacking people as well as for being an immovable defense machine.

9 Yoongeon: A Versatile Warrior

Yoongeon is a relatively new character and is highly versatile, making him viable in a number of different combat situations. Able to switch from close-range to long-range at the player's discretion, he combines multiple fighting styles to get the edge in any fight.

Due to his ability to mark enemies and attack them from long-range, opponents aren't able to as easily escape, which is one of the main mechanics in the game. Players who enjoy ranged combat may find their feet quicker with Yoongeon.

8 Jun: The Poster Boy

Jun is featured in lots of promotional material for Hunter's Arena: Legends, and he happens to be a very strong character that is easy to use. A melee-based chainsword-wielder, Jun offers quick and simple combat that suits players of all skill levels.

The archenemy of Mir, who defeated him in lore, Jun searches the lands in the hopes of a rematch with the villain. Players who enjoy games with the best melee combat and traditional hero characters will have a lot of fun with Jun, and will be able to hone their skills before tackling more difficult characters.

7 Ara: Most Mobility In The Game

Character model of Ara from Hunter's Arena: Legends.

Ara has the best mobility in the game and a plethora of ranged moves that make her highly useful to players who prefer to stay from afar and pick off enemies rather than get into nitty-gritty melee combat. Ara even has a damage-dealing passive, adding more viability to her character.

Her mobility isn't just good at chasing people down and attacking them from afar; it also allows her to successfully escape from just about any opponent. This mobility makes Ara suitable for newer characters who are still developing their skills in combat.

6 Dara: The Elemental Mage

Jun finding Silent Destroyer's Frenzy in Hunter's Arena Legends

No game is complete without a mage character, and Hunter's Arena: Legends is no different. Dara is a mage based on the elements, with many elemental abilities that yield different effects on the opponents. This makes her perhaps one of the most versatile characters in the game.

While Dara may take a bit of time for players to get used to, on account of the many different attack methods, this results in her being highly unpredictable. If a skilled player takes Dara as their character, it's unlikely they won't find success.

5 Mir: The Villainous Swordsman

Character model of Mir from Hunter's Arena: Legends.

Mir is a melee-based swordsman character, a sworn enemy of Jun. Suitable for beginner players due to the simpler melee combat and mechanics, Mir can perform many combos, with all of his abilities inflicting Stagger on enemy characters.

This means that Mir suits aggressive players who feel confident chasing down enemies and battering them before they get a chance to react. The mixture of Staggering abilities as well as Mir's combos means that players can almost finish a fight without taking much damage.

4 Mumyung: Stealth And Timing

Character model of Mumyung from Hunter's Arena: Legends.

Mumyung is based around stealth. Players must pick their moments to attack, constantly teleporting into and out of battle. Mumyung works best by ambushing opponents, and using his ability to spawn an avatar that can help him in the sneak attacks.

Mumyung also has a passive ability allowing him to go invisible after successfully striking opponents with basic attacks. Those who enjoy true stealth games will warm quickly to Mumyung.

3 Wukong: High Heavy DPS

Jun opening a treasure chest in Hunter's Arena Legends

Wukong is arguably one of the strongest characters in Hunter's Arena: Legends. Even his basic attacks do some of the most damage out of all the characters, and that's before getting into his abilities. His abilities and DPS makes him best suited for players who want to go on the offensive.

If players using Wukong do feel like they are being beaten, they can use Wukong's Catch Me If You Can ability to clone himself into three versions while he escapes. This makes it very difficult for opponents to finish him off.

2 Tau: Basically Kung Fu Panda

Character model of Tau from Hunter's Arena: Legends.

Tau isn't overly suited to beginner players, but when more experienced he is a monster that can make life extremely difficult for all opponents. Best suited for gamers who like to be on the offensive and brawl, Tau can easily find himself trapped in a situation — but he'll fight his way out of it.

Partially due to his size, Tau isn't easy to defeat. Even if a player gets attacked, there is a good chance that by committing to the fight, they will come out on top.

1 Dalgi: Fun Scythe Gameplay

Jun looting a defeated enemy player in Hunter's Arena Legends

Dalgi isn't one of the first characters from Hunter's Arena: Legends, but she's certainly one of the best, capable of dealing a frankly ridiculous amount of damage. She is very fun to play, and distinct enough with her weapon choice to make her melee-skilled combat feel fresh. Coming up against her is frustrating for any opponent.

She is able to string together combos quickly, and her abilities make her best suited to going on the offensive. She isn't particularly hard to master, but beginners may need a bit of time to get used to her.
