Hunter x Hunter is a legendary manga that has captivated fans for decades now. Because of the author, Yoshihiro Togashi's poor health condition, the series has been known to go on long hiatuses. However, for over 2 months now, the manga has been going strong with weekly chapter releases that started with chapter 391. While it was expected the manga would go back on a hiatus on chapter 400, 10 chapters after its return, it's now been revealed that the manga will go on for quite a while longer - however, the release likely won't stay weekly.
Last week's Hunter x Hunter 399 continued with the Succession Contest arc and the story revolving around the Mafia families, notably, Heil-ly, Xi-Yu, and Cha-R. After Hinrigh Biganduffno and Nobunaga made their way into Heil-ly's hideout, they were met with quite a few members of the group. Hinrigh managed to hide the Homing Device, but they were eventually both kicked out. Thankfully, both of them are very much safe but from here onwards, things will only get more intense and all eyes are on Hunter x Hunter 400 right now.
Hunter x Hunter 400: The Spiders And Heil-ly
In Hunter x Hunter 399, Hinrigh Biganduffno, the bait for this mission, and Nobunaga entered the hideout of the Heil-ly Mafias. Phinks and Feitan, on the other hand, were on their way to the hideout, using the transmitter provided to them by Hinrigh. Since Hinrigh and Nobunaga were both kicked out from that base, Nobunaga announced to Hinrigh that he will join back with his other two Spider comrades to bust down the location.
Hunter x Hunter 400 could heavily focus on three Phantom Troupe members, notably, Nobunaga, Phinks, and Feitan where they will try to find the hideout again. As learned before, Hinrigh's powers don't last forever, so it will be a race against time for them to find it before the oyster turns back into the Homing Device and gets busted by Heil-ly members. These three could split up to look for it more efficiently when they narrow down the location, but it is more likely that they will stick together due to the transmitter.
Once they find the location, it could be that they will advance immediately, taking action without Hinrigh or Wang's help. As seen previously, Nobunaga already knows the ability of two of the members of Heil-ly, Terebellum, and Yokotani. Taking these two down would be an easier job, however, a lot of the members remain with abilities unknown to both the readers and the Spider which could raise a challenge in Hunter x Hunter 400. However, as is well known, the Spiders are not an easy bunch to defeat so unless Morena intervenes, the three of them could handle this simply enough.
Hunter x Hunter 400: Hinrigh Biganduffno's Hunt
During the events of chapter 399 of Hunter x Hunter, Hinrigh Biganduffno was a major player in the infiltration of the Heil-ly hideout. After all, he was the one who gave the Phantom Troupe members his plan that would see him, the underboss of Xi-Yu, as the bait so the others would be able to track down the location of the hideout. Transforming the Homing Device into an oyster and swallowing it at the start, he ended up resorting to hiding it in the laundry room.
While the Phantom Troupe are tracking down the Homing Device he hid in the laundry room with the transmitter he's given them, he is currently unable to use his nen. Due to having his nen unavailable for the day, Hunter x Hunter 400 will probably mobilize his men to scour this floor of the black Whale in search of a place that could fit the Heil-ly hideout. He will also perhaps make composite sketches to show around and try and find someone who had seen a member of Heil-ly.
Overall, Hinrigh Biganduffno will probably make sure to mobilize everyone under him to gather as much information as possible to make this mission a success. He could also join back with Wang, the underboss of Cha-R, who is currently on the lookout for two individuals he suspects are related to Heil-ly. If able to find these people, he could interrogate them and try to pull out information on the location of the base or Morena Prudo.
When Will Hunter X Hunter Chapter 400 Release?
Hunter X Hunter Chapter 400 is expected to drop in the next issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shounen Jump magazine. According to MangaPlus, Hunter x Hunter 400 will be released on Dec 25, 2022. Fans can read the chapter for free on the MangaPlus and the Shonen Jump app.
