The newest Hunt: Showdown update has arrived. It brings a new weapon variant, fresh legendary content, and new trial missions. Hunt: Showdown continues to be supported heavily by Crytek.

Hunt: Showdown is one of the more unique battle royale experiences, thanks to an innovative and special PVE and PVP gameplay. Human hunters must take down bosses and AI enemies while also watching out for other human enemy hunters, and the game is tense and nerve-racking in the best ways. The game takes place in the late 1800s in a monster-filled bayou, and now new content has been added to the PC version of the game with update 1.4.3.

Perhaps the most exciting new addition that comes with the update is the new Winfield M1873c weapon variant. The Winfield weapons are lever-action rifles that provide decent power at a relatively high fire rate, especially with the Levering Trait that was added in update 1.3. The new variant is the Winfield M1873c Vandal, and the Vandal Deadeye. The Winfield Vandal and Winfield Vandal Deadeye are medium-sized guns, which means they can be paired with other medium weapons and or large weapons with the Quartermaster trait.

There is also more Legendary content being added to the game, which are skins for weapons, Hunters, and more. The Winfield Vandal gets a Legendary skin, as does the Suppressed Nagant, called the Mosquito (which is a direct result of the player-base nicknaming the weapon).

There are also new Trial Mode challenges for Hunt added with update 1.4.3. There are multiple new wave-based, sniper-style, and parkour type challenges added. Trials are a great way to take a break from the chaotic and sometimes even stressful experience of the standard game, as it is an entirely single-player mode. The update also came with fixes to known glitches and issues.

The continual support from Crytek is one of the reasons Hunt: Showdown is such a promising multiplayer game. The Winfield Vandal was an idea thought of by fans, so again Crytek is listening and updating the game with the help of the community. The game was fun in early access, solid when it was launched, and continually improving.

Hunt: Showdown is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
