Arcade Paradise

Arcade Paradise blends the classic arcade experience with the simulation genre for a unique experience. Players must turn a laundromat into a thriving arcade filled with some of the coolest games around. As they build out their arcade, players must also become a master at the games they offer. They will have set the highest scores possible in over 35 games to keep customers coming back for more, and the studio has released dozens more as DLC if those 35 are not enough.

Chivalry 2

Chivalry 2 puts players on a medieval battlefield and has them fight for their lives. They must fight through massive 64-player battlefields where almost everything wants to take them out. The battles are gory and overwhelming, and Chivalry 2's realistic battle mechanics make it even better. Players may come for that realism, but they will stay for the frantic multiplayer and countless classes they must master. While it may have a bit of a learning curve, it is well worth a playthrough or two.

Disco Elysium The Final Cut

Sometimes players just want to sink hundreds of hours into an engaging RPG, and that is where Disco Elysium The Final Cut comes into play. The game puts players in the shoes of a detective in the seaside district of a fictional city and tasks them with solving a murder. What ensues is a wild adventure filled with interesting characters, winding paths, and many tough choices that will shape the trajectory of the entire story. This may be the perfect title to check out for anyone looking to fill up their August calendar fast.

Hot Brass

Hot Brass also puts players in control of law enforcement, but this game does it a bit differently. Instead of letting players control a detective, Hot Brass gives them control over the SWAT team. It is up to the player to rescue those in need across multiple tense missions. They will have to make split-second decisions, use the environment to their advantage, and constantly change their strategy as they take on the bad guys. This stressful game can be played entirely in singleplayer, or players can jump on with three other people for a whole new type of experience.

Road 96

Road 96 is a game about hitting the road in the Summer of 1996 and meeting a colorful cast of characters on the way. It is a beautiful journey with countless stories and locales waiting to be discovered. It has action, exploration, wild scenarios, and a story that is based on the likes of Quentin Tarantino. While it may not look like the most advanced game, it offers a powerful story that players may not want to miss out on.

SuchArt: Genius Artist Simulator

SuchArt: Genius Artist Simulator puts players on a mostly barren space station and gives them a paint brush to fill it in. They are a genius artist in the year 2130 and are given all the tools necessary to create almost anything they want. They can paint whatever they want, design their dream furniture, decorate their entire studio, and upgrade it with even more options. Anyone that wants to get a feel for the game before committing can check out SuchArt: Creative Space on Steam for free right now. While it is not the actual game, it does give players a sandbox version of the concept.

Tin Can

Tin Can

Tin Can throws players into space and forces them to do everything they can to survive. Without proper IT support, they must attempt to fix every part of their craft before death claims them. Players must ensure they do not run out of resources, that their ship is prepared for everything space will throw at it, and that they can repair it when it fails. This can quickly get stressful as everything falls apart around them during their journey through space. Anyone who wants to check the game out can head over to Steam for a short demo now.

Trek To Yomi

The final game in August's Humble Choice bundle comes in the form of the 2.5D action-adventure Trek of Yomi. Players assume the role of swordsman Hiroki as he protects a town against the dangers of the world. They must fight through swordsmen and supernatural beings as they experience a story of evil and heroism. Trek to Yomi's art style and soundtrack only help to make that experience even stronger, and though it may not be for everyone, those looking for a beautiful journey may want to give it a shot.

There are so many unique adventures on offer this month, and interested subscribers may want to act fast as this bundle will not last forever. Once September 4 arrives, a brand-new bundle of games will replace this one. The contents of that one have not yet been revealed, though this month's bundle is the perfect way to kill some time during that wait.

Humble Choice for August 2023 is available now until September 4.
