Humble Bundle's monthly subscription service, Humble Choice, has revealed its latest batch of games for subscribers to claim. This month's bundle contains some heavy hitting titles like Ghostrunner, as well as some lesser known titles like Chicken Police. The bigger titles are sure to provide hours of entertainment for subscribers, but the smaller titles may just be their new favorite.
Humble Choice has been a great way for subscribers to fill out their Steam libraries and get games for cheap. For $11.99/month, five percent of which goes to charity, subscribers gain access to a monthly batch of games to keep forever. These titles range from large scale AAA titles to smaller indie games; and there is something for everyone. This month, subscribers gain access to eight different titles that they can add to their Steam library forever.
Chicken Police
One of the smaller titles this month is called Chicken Police. The game's weird title matches its very weird gameplay. Chicken Police is described as a narrative-driven noir adventure, and it thrust players into a detective story following the legendary detectives of Sonny Featherland and Marty MacChicken. Players will have to explore Clawville as they find clues, interrogate suspects, and solve a mysterious case. The characters in Clawville are all anamorphic animals with wild personalities, and anyone who ventures through this game is in for a wild ride.
Destroy All Humans!
For subscribers who want a little less detective work and a little more mayhem, then they can check out Destroy All Humans! It is a remake of the 2005 cult-classic of the same name, and gives players control of an alien as they wreak havoc on planet Earth. Players will use all sorts of weaponry and gadgets as they reduce the cities of Earth to rubble, and abduct many cows. The story is filled with laughs, and the world that THQ Nordic constructed is a lot of fun to explore. This game has hours of mayhem to enjoy, and the sequel is currently being remade under the title Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed, making it the perfect time to jump into the series.
Ghostrunner
Released in 2020, Ghostrunner brings players to a cyberpunk world filled with dangers. The game is set in a cyberpunk mega structure after a cataclysmic event, and follows Jack the Ghostrunner on his quest for revenge. Players have to engage in hardcore FPS action as they climb the tower to defeat the Keymaster. In this game, one hit means death, so players have to think on their toes as they try to survive. Players will have to dodge bullets with superhuman reflexes, utilize a host of different techniques to survive, and slash through their enemies with a deadly katana. They will have to learn the ropes of this game and try to master it, or risk dying a lot.
Killsquad
Players will want to grab a friend for Killsquad, as it is heavily focused on co-op action. The game brings players to five different planets filled with enemies just waiting to be annihilated. Up to four players can engage in exciting twin-stick shooting chaos as they unlock new skills and complete contracts. A multitude of weapons and gadgets are waiting to be unlocked, and players will need the strongest ones if they want any chance of beating back the 15 powerful bosses.
Monster Sanctuary
Not every monster deserves to be annihilated, and Monster Sanctuary allows players to raise them instead. Players will traverse a 2D world similar to Terraria, as they collect 101 different monsters to hatch, raise, and train for battle. They will spend their time leveling up the monsters to take on greater challenges much like Pokemon, and they can take their team online to fight in PvP battles. Each monster is unique, and the world is filled with things to explore for anyone who wants to accept the challenge.
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker
Sometimes all players want to do is engage in some PvP action, and Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker offers just that. Players can play with up to three other friends and battle it out against other teams of four in fun-filled battles. Fans of Naruto will feel right at home here as they get to fight to find out who is truly the best ninja around. A game like this requires an active community, and it will most likely see a boost in player count as Humble Choice subscribers get their hands on it.
Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos
Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos offers players a unique rogue-lite to explore. With up to four players, they must fight through the realm of Tasos to save it from the terrifying Titans. Players have multiple classes to select from that they will level up throughout their journey across Tasos. They must tackle procedurally generated dungeons and collect resources to rebuild their town so that they can collect better gear and upgrades. Players will die a lot in Rogue Heroes, but that will only push them to try harder to save the realm. Rogue-lite fans and fantasy fans will find a home in this intriguing title.
Suzerain
The final game in the bundle is Suzerain, and is unlike any other games in the bundle. Players take on the role of President Anton Rayne as he leads the country of Sordland during his first term. The player is forced to make difficult choices as they try to keep the country in one piece and uphold their election promises. Every single choice that the player makes will have consequences, and they must be willing to sacrifice what they love to make a better Sordland. The game offers nine different endings depending upon the choices made, and not all of them are good, so players must choose carefully if they want Sordland to stand the test of time,
Anyone who wants to get a hold of these eight games has until May 2 to subscribe on Humble Bundle's website. On May 3, a whole new batch of games will be revealed and the April bundle will vanish forever.
