As technology advances and people find new mediums for entertainment, such as Twitch, it's often no surprise when people from the past are confused at first when learning about this change. So in a crossover event that almost no one saw coming, radio legend Howard Stern has recently been updated about trends on Twitch.

While learning about Hot Tub Streams and other Twitch meta culture, Stern came across Amouranth, one of the site's most popular streamers. During his segment on the show, Stern clicks in on Amouranth doing a stream of her just sleeping. Stern, and his other guests, were shocked by the mere concept of the stream, let alone the fact that about 40,000 people were watching Amouranth sleep.

While Stern was confused as to why people would pay for this content, he seemed amused by the idea. First, Stern questioned whether Amouranth was actually asleep or if she was just pretending. Stern then commented that it is impressive to be so hot that so many people would be watching someone sleep. Stern then compares Amourath's current audience size to a sports stadium.

During the segment, Stern was digging into the history of these types of female streamers. Specifically, him and his co-host were going over the history of the hostile audience and the attention this brings to women, especially from a male audience. Stern and the co-host went back into their past, commenting on how they would've been grateful to get this type of content for free when all they had were magazines. Stern calls these toxic audience members "idiots" for cursing out the women who do these streams.

Stern also learned about a Twitch Streamer named Raihnbowkidz, who was one of the first to make this sort of hypersexual content on Twitch in 2016. They went over her announcement to quit this content, and what eventually convinced her to do it again after a couple of years. Her reasoning was that she was tired of the strain the push-up bra had on her shoulders and the negative comments cussing her out. As for the reason for coming back to sexual content, she simply decided to do what makes her happy and ignore the negativity from toxic Twitch fans.

While this may seem like obvious information to many younger people, It's excellent that Stern and the other co-hosts were able to shed light on Twitch for an older audience while also touching on the negative aspects as well. They even respect the position, saying if it was as easy as people think it is, then everyone would be doing it. Currently, Amouranth hasn't said anything about the segment.
