Diablo 4 received countless praises from players and critics alike when it first came out, and it has gotten even more since then (considering it is one of the best Diablo games, this isn't shocking). The game features a ton of content, allowing players to spend hours playing it and building their perfect character in the land of Sanctuary.

While the game is amazing, one thing that players have always complained about is how far they can zoom out. A good portion of players have been asking Blizzard to allow them to zoom out even more, giving them a better view of the game. Thankfully, Blizzard has obliged players. Here's how players can zoom out even more.

How to Zoom Out More

Diablo 4 - View Distance

Zooming out in Diablo 4 allows players to get a better view of the battlefield. The feature to zoom out even more than the standard zoom was added at the start of Season 4. However, the option is available to everyone, not just those in seasonal realms, meaning anyone can do this right now. Considering the game is all about defeating the hoards of Lilith's army (like during Helltides), having a better vantage point can make all the difference.

For platforms like the PC, the new, more zoomed-out view will automatically be the default (though this can be changed in the settings). For other platforms, such as handhelds, the older viewpoint will be the default (once again, this can be changed). So, it depends on what platform players are on as to which zoom will be their default going forward. Players who have gotten on since the start of Season 4 may have already noticed the change if they are playing on a platform like the PC.

The option to change the zoom hasn't been advertised much, so some players weren't even aware that it was added to the game (unless they read the patch notes for the update that included it). Thankfully, Blizzard made it easy for those who want to change their zoom (whether it is the new zoom or the standard zoom) to do so in the settings. Here are the steps players need to follow.

  1. Go to the options menu
  2. Navigate to the graphics settings
  3. Scroll down until finding "View Distance"
  4. Select which option is preferred for the platform

No matter which option players prefer, they can always change it in the settings. This means that players should definitely try out both options and decide which one they prefer.
