With the release of Patch 10.0.5 on January 24th players in World of Warcraft can now convert non-tier equipment into the Season 1 Tier gear. This upgrade system is similar to the Creation Catalyst system from Shadowlands. To get access to this new system there are a few simple steps players will need to complete in order to harness the full power of their gear.

While this system is wonderful for players looking to get better gear outside of raiding it does come fairly late, 6 weeks post-launch of the first raid Vault of The Incarnates. This can be frustrating for players if their luck has been poor with loot drops, there are also a few limitations to it that players might not be too happy with.

Where To Start Revival Catalyst Quest

Players will need to speak to Watcher Koranos at the top of the Seat of the Aspects in Valdrakken to pick up the intro quest, Reviving the Machine. This quest will take players to Antuka who is in a building on the side of a mountain in Thaldraszus for the weekly quest Revival Catalyst to obtain Catalyst Charges. Completing the quests once will also complete it for all characters on your account.

How To Get Catalyst Charges In Dragonflight

There are a number of ways to get more Revival Catalyst Charges, also known as Renascent Lifeblood. Upon accepting the weekly quest Revival Catalyst, players will see a progress bar under the tracked quest.

There are 5 different ways that players can perform repeatedly to increase the progress bar, they are:

1. Kill Rare Monsters during Primal Invasion Storm Events in the Dragon Isles (Stormed Off)
2. Complete World Events:
   • Siege on Dragonbane Keep Event
   • Grand Hunt Events
   • Storm's Fury

3. Compete a Dungeon in the Dragon Isles.
4. Kill a Boss in the Vault of the Incarnates.
5. Win a PvP Battle: (Battleground, Solo Shuffle, Arena)

How To Get Tier Set With Revival Catalyst

Once players have completed the weekly quest and obtained a Renascent Lifeblood they can interact with the Revival Catalyst. Placing a non-tier item that is the same slot as the tier piece they wish to obtain (Head, Shoulders, Chest, Gloves, and Legs) will convert it to the same slot. Placing an item that is not a tier slot item will convert it to a random slot. Players will see a preview of the item they will receive and click Transform to convert the item and place it into their inventory. The former item will be destroyed as well.

Only items obtained from the following sources are eligible to be converted:

• PvP (Including World PvP gear)
• Mythic Dungeons
• The Great Vault
• Vault of the Incarnates Raid
• World Bosses
• Primal Storms Epics
