All Ways to Get The Slayer Form
The main requirement for obtaining the Slayer Form in Baldur's Gate 3 is to select the Dark Urge origin when creating your character. You are free to choose any class, race, and other characteristics. Choosing this origin means that you will have to resist the urge to kill by Wisdom Roll, and if you fail this roll, you will succumb to bloodlust.
However, even if you choose the Dark Urge origin, you will only have three opportunities to unlock the Slayer Form. Players must take advantage of one of the following situations.
Kill Isobel in the Last Light Inn in Act 2
To get the Slayer Form as soon as possible, reach the Last Light Inn in Act 2 and meet Isobel. This priestess is the only bastion of defense that protects this place from dark forces, so her death will lead to the inevitable death of everyone inside the inn. After spending some time with her, the party must repel an attack on the inn together, after which Sceleritas Fel will come to you and ask you to kill the girl. How to Use the Slayer Form
Once you have unlocked the Slayer Form, you can use it like any skill. You can transform into Slayer as an Action once per Long Rest. Your health will increase to 98, and you will receive decent increases in Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution. You will gain the passive effect Slayer's Improved Extra Attack, which gives you two additional attacks after attacking with your main-hand weapon.
Like Druid's Wild Shape, you can remain in this form until your health drops to 0, or you can transform back to your normal form at will. When you return to your standard form, your characteristics, health, and stats will be at the same level as before the transformation.
Slayer Form Abilities
- Slay Attack: Deal 6d6 Slashing damage. If your target is Bleeding, it receives Contagion Poisoned: Stage 1, which gives a Disadvantage to all attack rolls and checks. If the enemy is Bleeding and Prone, your attack will be a Critical Hit.
- Multiattack: Deal 1d4 + 4 damage. If your target is Bleeding, you deal extra damage per hit. If your target is Dazed, your attack will be a Critical Hit.
- Sumptuous Blood Bath: Deal 2d10 Slashing damage and cause Bleeding for 3 turns. In addition, your character will drink this blood and restore health.
- Let the Slaughter Begin: This attack does no damage, but it does apply a Dazed and sinister mark to enemies. The mark's effect lasts 4 turns. If the enemy dies during this time, you gain +1 to Armor Class.
- Relentless Lunge: Jump on an enemy, dealing 4d6 Bludgeoning damage and sometimes knocking them Prone.
