With hundreds of hours in the game, players want to create the perfect little community in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, filled with the best and rarest Villagers they can find, as well as some beautifully designed buildings and architecture that would make visiting players marvel at the beauty to behold.
However, with over 400 Villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and with not every character to players’ unique tastes, some players might be asking how to get rid of Villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Luckily for them, there are a few ways to evict these Villagers, although, they may not be the nicest of ways for such a wholesome game about community and giving.
5 Ignore Villagers
There’s something quite evil and sad about ignoring and ostracizing a specific Villager in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but if players want them off of their island, then this is the way to go. Players will need to ignore the villagers they want gone. Observe them, but refuse to speak with them, whilst going out of the way to talk to other Villagers nearby. Perhaps even send them mail and ignore their reply, or cook without them.
After a few days of torturous neglect, the villagers will have a thought bubble above their heads, to which players can then talk, and the villagers will discuss the potential of leaving the island. Players can then give them permission to go ahead and leave the island to pursue their dreams, or just find somewhere more welcoming. 4 Talk To Isabelle About It
If there is a Villager that is bothering the player, then they should head to the Residential Services building to file a complaint with Isabelle. Isabelle is an iconic character that returns in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and once again aids the player by keeping the management of Villagers and complaints that may create problems on an otherwise peaceful island.
If players complain to Isabelle about a specific Villager, they can perhaps make mention of the catchphrase of the Villager, or even their fashion sense. In repeatedly talking to Isabelle about the same Villager, they may get the hint that it’s just not working out, and they could leave for good. However, this requires a few days, and it might not work every time. Isabelle cannot directly remove them herself, but it’s a good start in how to kick out a Villager in ACNH.
3 Annoy Them
There are a few ways in which players can grind the gears of their fellow Villagers. Their neighbors and (alleged) friends can be pestered and annoyed through a variety of unique ways that will surely send them the message telling them that they are simply not wanted around. One of the most efficient ways is to swat them with the bug catcher net. This will be the same as hitting them, and players can repeatedly swat them, watching as the Villager frustratingly asks them to stop with steam pouring from their nostrils.
This form of bullying may be cruel, but it’s pretty effective at getting Villagers to move off of the island. Players can also push other Villagers by repeatedly walking next to them, or standing in their way. 2 Amiibo Villagers Replacement
A surefire way of bringing in a new Villager is by using one of the compatible Amiibos that work with Animal Crossing: New Horizons. These Amiibos will often see the player receives gifts, rewards, and other great prizes that can benefit their game in a multitude of ways. Yet, perhaps the most is the nuclear option, where players can use a specific Amiibo to completely replace another Villager, forcing them to move out.
Despite the Villager that has been evicted having no ill will towards the player, players can still visit the Villager to gloat over their victory in seeing their house packed up with boxes as they are ready to leave and never return. An Amiibo is a great way for getting rid of Villagers fast and efficiently, as players will get to choose who to “negotiate” who leaves.
1 Trading Villagers
It may be questionably immoral, but players can trade Villagers with other players like they are Pokemon or collectible items. There are some pretty sought-after and rare Villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, so it would make sense that there is a market in the online forums about who wants what. Just because the player may not like a certain Villager they have, it doesn’t mean that the Villager isn’t adored by someone from across the globe.
Players can trade Villagers for a multitude of things, such as currency, items, and blueprints. Players should always check the active online forums for Animal Crossing: New Horizons and see if anyone wants the Villager that is making their island a true misery, even if this Villager doesn’t even know it.
