The second week of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta begins on September 22, offering players a chance to test the highly-anticipated upcoming FPS. The reboot of 2009's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will release on October 28, making this multiplayer beta one of the last chances for players to get their hands on the game before launch.

While the first week of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta, which ran from September 16-20, was only available to PlayStation players, the second week will be open to all players. Firstly, all PlayStation players, as well as players who have preordered on Xbox, Steam, or Battle.Net, will gain access to the beta on September 22 and 23. Then, on September 24-26, the beta will become available to all players on those platforms, regardless of preorder.

  1. Redeem the beta code at callofduty.com
  2. Select a chosen platform and local region
  3. Receive a confirmation code, which can be entered into the chosen platform's store to unlock the beta
  4. Begin the beta download

The beta download will be around 15-30 GB, depending on platform and region. Once PC, Xbox or PlayStation players have the beta client downloaded, all they need to do is wait until September 22 at 10am PDT to start playing. (6pm BST, 7pm CEST, 1pm EDT)
