Sometimes when players squad up in Call of Duty: Warzone, the synergy becomes immediately present. It is in these instances that knowing how to add friends to the Warzone friend list despite platform differences can be a vital skill. Although it is a really simple feature, many fans are still unsure of exactly how the process works.
Crossplay comes with its own problems. From the battle of mouse and keyboard versus controller to the mixing of different communities, players deal with the good and bad of a long-awaited feature. Activision has made it easy for friends to continue to stay in touch despite their platforms. All of this is done right within Warzone, and only takes a few minutes to accomplish.
Get Hyped Gaming and many others have shown how easy it is to add friends to any player's friend list within Warzone. First, players need to go up to the Social icon and select it. Depending on the platform this can be a mouse click or a button on the controller. This brings up the friend list immediately. This set of menus is where players can view their party, regiments, and recent players that they have fought against. For adding friends players need to focus on the first tab and select the Add Friends button. This option will open up a side menu and allow players to search for their friends.
Finding a friend's account tends to be the most complicated part of the entire process. Many Warzone fans simply can not figure out what the proper tag to search is. Once in the menu players can select the option that says "Activision Account." Here, fans can change what platform they are searching for depending on what platform their friend plays on.
Most profiles will show up through Activision account but there are rare instances where players are instead using their PlayStation or Xbox accounts. In these cases, players should select the appropriate option to find their friend. Keep in mind that every Activision account has a number associated with the name. This number is usually displayed on the top right of any player's screen right beside their name.
At this point just type in the target friend's name and account number and hit send. The best way to tell if the invite worked is to go to the second tab and view sent invites. If there is a pending invite sitting in that tab, then the target friend will have one waiting for them when they log on.
