Nowadays, video games are known for having multiple endings; whether it's just a few minor changes that happen or there are massive changes in the ending, players usually get a few endings based on the choices they make in the game.

However, Far Cry 6 is a pretty linear game without a ton of choices, so there aren't a lot of variations when it comes to endings. However, like every Far Cry game since Far Cry 4, the game has a secret ending and a regular ending. It also has several endings for each of the DLCs.

Far Cry 6 has a total of 106 missions each broken up into three different categories, and here's the list of all Far Cry 6 missions.

All Endings For Far Cry 6's Base Game

Far Cry 6's base game really only has two endings (and then a post-credit scene). Here's a breakdown of each ending.

The Regular Ending

Far Cry 6 - Regular Ending-1

This is the ending that most players will end up with while playing the base game, as all you need to do is play the game in its entirety. In it, players will learn that Anton Castillo has a form of cancer that cannot be cured, and he will not be captured by the guerrilla fighters, no matter what. This leads to him killing Diego and then himself as Dani corners the two. Castillo believes killing Diego is the only way to break the cycle that his family has been stuck in for generations. After this, Dani refuses to become the leader of Yara, leaving the place in the care of Yelena.

The Secret Ending

Dani on the beach ending Far Cry 6-2

This ending is the best one for Dani, but it is the worst for those in Yara. When Dani first meets Clara and joins the Libertad Movement, Clara says that if she helps them, she will ensure that Dani gets a boat and is able to sail away to Miami. After helping Libertad and completing the "Libertad Rises" quest, Dani can accept the boat and sail to America. If she does this, the game will cut to months later, where Dani learns that Castillo stifled the Libertad Movement and got rid of Clara once and for all.

The Post-Credit Scene

Far Cry 6 - Vaas Montenegro Post-Credit Scene-2

While this isn't really an ending, it is a post-credits scene that adds a lot to the game. Players will learn that a smuggler is smuggling the cancer drug, and the post-credits scene identifies this smuggler as Vaas Montenegro, the main antagonist from Far Cry 3. While the villain was thought to be dead after the events of the third game, he is very much alive and well. This scene will automatically play after the credits.

All Insanity DLC Endings (Vaas Montenegro's DLC)

In Insanity, Vaas is trapped in his own mind, haunted by visions of his sister and Jason, showing true insanity. Players will learn the truth about how Citra treated Vaas and why he turned out the way that he did in the end. There are three different endings to Vaas's story, and here is a breakdown of each one.

Insanity - Choosing To Stay Ending

Far Cry 6 - Insanity Staying Ending

The ending where Vaas stays is obtained by refusing to escape his mind when he is given the chance. Once he finally finishes up what he has to do, he will tell Citra that he isn't letting the past define him anymore, breaking the cycle of his insanity.

Insanity - Choosing To Leave Ending

Far Cry 6 - Insanity Leaving Ending

This version of Vaas's ending is obtained by deciding to leave Vaas's mind rather than staying and fighting Citra. In this ending, Vaas questions whether leaving is the right move. He mentions that he may be able to seek a higher level of enlightenment if only he could keep fighting the pain.

Insanity - Secret Ending

Far Cry 6 - Insanity Vaas Alive Ending

In the secret ending (obtained by escaping Vaas' mind on the 5th Mind level), Vaas is seen on a beach speaking to a tennis ball, which resembles Jason, the protagonist of Far Cry 3. The scene proves that, despite what was originally thought, Vaas survived his encounter with Jason all those years ago.

All Control DLC Endings (Pagan Min's DLC)

Far Cry 6 Season Pass Pagan Min Control DLC

Throughout Control, Pagan works to overcome his mistakes as he tries to cope with the loss of those he holds dearest in life. The DLC follows him as he is trapped in his own mind, working through the complexities of his life and trying to reunite with his family that he lost.

Control - Choosing To Stay Ending

Far Cry 6 - Control Staying Ending

For this ending, the player will decide to have Pagan stay and protect his family from the onslaught. Once the onslaught is over, Ishwari will tell Pagan to save himself and leave his mind. Once he steps into the light, his daughter can be heard saying that they couldn't be together, but she is happy he tried.

Control - Choosing To Leave Ending

Far Cry 6 - Control Leaving Ending

In this ending, the player must choose to leave his family behind during the onslaught. Once Pagan leaves, his wife, Ishwari, will tell him that he remembers her differently than she truly was. She will then tell him she loves him, but they cannot be together before the scene cuts to black.

Control - Secret Ending

Far Cry 6 - Control Secret Ending

Like with the other DLCs, players must finish the DLC on Mind Level 5 to reach the secret ending. Once that is done, the screen turns black, and players are met with a massive bombshell of a recording for Ajay. Pagan tells Ajay about a nuclear weapon below his palace, and it is aimed right at Montana. This leaves huge implications for the connections between Far Cry 4 and Far Cry 5.

Collapse - Choosing To Stay Ending

Far Cry 6 - Collapse DLC Stay

In this version of the DLC, the player will continue to fight and not enter Eden's Gates. If Joseph continues to fight, he will realize that he needs to give in to the voice of his God and enter into Eden's Gates anyway. Once inside, the voice tells him that he is home now.

Collapse - Choosing To Leave Ending

Far Cry 6 - Colapse Leaving Ending

If the player has Joseph enter Eden's Gates instead of fighting, they will obtain this ending. In it, the voice tells Joseph that he had better not stray from him again and that his doubt has caused him to be more obedient.

Collapse - Secret Ending

Far Cry 6 - Colapse Faith Ending

The final ending, which is obtained like all the other DLC secret endings (by finishing the game on Mind Level 5), shows a pretty disturbing voicemail from Joseph to Faith Seed. In it, players hear the last call he makes to Faith, his original wife, before he realizes that she and the baby are dead. This implies that he has groomed multiple women after his wife died and shows that his character might be different from Vaas and Pagan in one major aspect: he is irredeemable.
