The Bloodfiend Hexer's Spirit Ashes is a new Spirit Ash in Shadow of the Erdtree that summons the titular creature to help you out in battle. Do note that it uses HP instead of FP to summon, so make sure you have enough health, especially when facing the various bosses in the DLC. With its spear, it does good damage thanks to the bloodflame hexes it can cast, so while it may serve as a good distraction, players might want to act as the diversion instead to let the Spirit Ash go to work.

Defeating this boss will net you the valuable Bloodfiend Hexer's Spirit Ashes.

How to Beat the Chief Bloodfiend in Shadow of the Erdtree

At first glance, the enemy may seem easy to handle, but because of its speed and size, it is wise not to underestimate its danger. Using its club, it unleashes predictable combos that, with practice, become easy to read and avoid. After every combo, there will be a fairly large recovery window for players to do their damage, so be patient. Alternatively, you can keep a distance away to bait the leaping attack, roll to the sides, and counterattack. Keep repeating this routine to whittle away its health, and in time, the boss will fall.
