The Teal Mask DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet introduces a trio of new Legendary Pokemon: Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. There are already guides on the site for the first two, but for Fezandipiti, this guide will show players how to catch it in the new Kitakami region.

As part of the main storyline of The Teal Mask DLC, players will meet the trio of Pokemon called the Loyal Three. They will eventually have to travel to three different locations across Kitakami and battle against the three of them in separate fights. However, each will be stronger (and bigger) than usual and cannot be caught in a Poke Ball until later.

Where to Catch Fezandipiti in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - The Teal Mask

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC Okigogi/Munkidori/Fezandipiti

The storyline will bring players to Oni Mountain to battle Fezandipiti. It'll need to be defeated to progress the story. However, if players return to this location after completing The Teal Mask's narrative, they will find that Fezandipiti has returned and is ready for another battle. Except this time, players can actually capture it and add its information to the PokeDex.

The location of the bird Pokemon is on the east side of the mountain, off a cliff. Head north from the Kitakami Hall fast-travel spot to reach it.

Fezandipiti location

Fezandipiti may not look the part, but it is considered a Legendary Pokemon, so it will not be as easy to catch as other Pokemon in the wild. Trainers should be careful not to knock it out completely and to inflict a status effect like paralysis or sleep before wasting a bunch of Ultra Balls. If it's nighttime, Dusk Balls work really well for catching Legendaries. Quick Balls are great, too, at the first turn of the fight. And there's always the Master Ball, but most players probably used it already in the base game.

Fezandipiti is a Poison/Fairy-type Pokemon, making it weak to Ground, Steel, and Psychic-type moves. It's resistant to Fighting, Bug, Grass, Dark, and Fairy-type attacks. It's also worth noting that the Loyal Three have the Toxic Chain ability, which can easily cause an opponent to be poisoned after being hit with any move, even if it's not a Poison-type .

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch.
