Scattered throughout the open world of Horizon Forbidden West are Vista Point Towers that offer experience and flavor text to players determined enough to seek them out, with a special bonus reward for completing all nine. This guide will detail how to find and complete Vista Point: The Long Coast in Horizon Forbidden West.

Where to Find the Vista Point: The Long Coast

Vista Point: The Long Coast can be found after completing the main quest ‘The Eye of the Earth,' which unlocks the westernmost part of the map for exploration.

To reach the tower (circled in red), Aloy must travel to the California coast, beyond the mountains, to the far north-western corner of the map. The tower itself is located just southwest of ‘The Greenhouse’ (in green), the Old World Ruin that Aloy must visit during the quest, ‘Seeds of the Past.' This site is north-northeast of the coastal Tenakth settlement, ‘Tide’s Reach’ (in blue), far to the southwest of ‘The Bulwark’ (in purple), and is south-southeast of one of Forbidden West's all-important Cauldrons.

To find the tower, players should look for the rusty, ivy-covered antenna which sits on a rock at the mouth of a nearby river. Using Aloy’s Focus will show a purple pulsating beacon that will help track the signal for some guidance.

How to Complete the Vista Point Tower

When players arrive at the tower, use Aloy’s handy Focusto scan the beacon, revealing a blurry image on the focus when in proximity. This will activate the quest and give players a yellow search area on the map.

To find where the picture was taken, head directly west from the tower's base to a small rock island upon the beach in front of Aloy.

However instead of climbing onto this island, take Aloy around it to see another rocky outcrop topped with pine trees further out in the water.

Head towards this and, after picking up the Greenshine at the bottom of the cliff face, use Aloy’s Ropecaster to climb up.

When on top of the outcrop, head towards the northernmost cliff looking out towards The Greenhouse ruins and activate Aloy’s Focus. Line up the image of the tower and dome with their destroyed contemporary counterparts, and the Vista Point will be complete.

Finding this will earn players XP to unlock some new skills and some flavor text about Elisabet Sobeck’s company and the ‘Clawback’ decade, which features heavily in the lore of Horizon Forbidden West.

Horizon Forbidden West is available on PS4 and PS5.
