Vista Point: Shrouded Heights can only be accessed during or after the main quest ‘Faro’s Tomb,' which unlocks the ‘The Isle of Spires’ for exploration. To reach the Isle, Aloy must use the enigmatic Quen's boat at the southwestern tip of the map when it is unlocked after retrieving all three of Gaia’s subordinate functions.

The tower itself (circled in red) is located at the north end of the Isle of Spires, beside some Slaughterspine infested ruins. These lie to the southeast of the Horus carcass and the Golden Gate Bridge, north-northeast of the 'Boat to the Mainland' and northwest of 'Legacy’s Landfall' and 'The Digsite' that Aloy visits during ‘Faro’s Tomb.'

To find the tower, players should look for the rusty, ivy-covered antenna on the eastern treeline by the beach. Using Aloy’s invaluable Focus will show a purple pulsating beacon that will help track the signal for some guidance.

How to Complete the Vista Point Tower

When players arrive at the tower, use Aloy’s Focus to scan the beacon, revealing a blurry image on the Focus when in proximity. This will activate the quest and give players a yellow search area on the map.

To find where the picture was taken, head directly north from the tower's base and jump into the ocean. Swim straight ahead, and Aloy will find the breathtaking drowned domed ruins of The Palace of Fine Arts. To the right, players can also see some blue bioluminescent barnacles clinging to some concrete ruins.

As players head towards this, they may notice a small yellow handrail looking out towards the Palace, which Aloy can use to propel herself through the water. Approach this slowly until Aloy latches on and stops moving to avoid launching herself forward. This will give players a good view of the Palace and, after lining up the image, activating their Focus will complete the Vista Point.

Finding this will earn players XP to unlock some new skills and some flavor text about Elisabet Sobeck’s company and the ‘Clawback’ decade, which features heavily in the lore of Horizon Forbidden West.

Horizon Forbidden West is available on PS4 and PS5.
