While players are exploring the massive open-world of Horizon Forbidden West, there's a high chance for them to run into tall towers called Vista Points. These look like old radio towers that are no longer in use, but these towers act as side activities for Aloy to complete to earn some extra XP towards unlocking new skills.

Horizon Forbidden West players might think they need to climb the tower or something once they first approach a Vista Point, but that's not the case at all. Instead, players need to use Aloy's focus ability by pressing into the right control stick. Scan the base of the tower, and a blurry image will appear whenever players are using their focus. To complete the Scalding Spear Vista Point, players need to find where the Vista image was taken. Once players find the correct spot, they'll need to use the focus again and line up the fuzzy image with its "real-world" counterpart.

The map will show a yellow circle where the image can be found, but it won't show the exact location. While Aloy will give players a few hints, finding where the image lines up can still be challenging.

After scanning the Vista Tower and getting the image, players will want to follow the map below, and head directly west down the mountain trail. Eventually, players will come across an area filled with a couple of bird-like machines.

In this same area, players will see a small structure overlooking the open field that has a fallen tree against it. Climb up the tree and stand on the top of the structure and face the settlement. Click the right stick in to use the focus skill again, and move the same stick to line up the image with what's in front of Aloy.
