Scattered throughout the open world of Horizon Forbidden West are Vista Point Towers that offer XP and flavor text to players determined enough to seek them out, with a special bonus reward for completing all nine. This guide will detail how to find and complete Vista Point: Dunehollow in Horizon Forbidden West.
Where to Find the Vista Point: Dunehollow (Spoilers Ahead)
Vista Point: Dunehollow can be only be completed after the main quest ‘The Sea of Sands,' which unlocks the submerged ruins for exploration.
To reach the tower (circled in red), Aloy must travel to Dunehollow which is the ruin beneath the Stillsands, accessed via the Tower of Tears in Hidden Ember. To do this, players must have drained the flooded ruins of Las Vegas during the quest ‘The Sea of Sands,’ which is acquired after unlocking the western part of the map in ‘The Eye of the Earth.'
To find the tower, players should travel down the elevator shaft in Hidden Ember, through the casino, and into the wide-open ruins of the Las Vegas Strip through which Aloy swam and came across her first Tideripper in ‘The Sea of Sands.’ Look for the rusty, ivy-covered antenna which sits on a walkway close to the base of the Eiffel Tower. Using Aloy’s handy Focus will show a purple pulsating beacon that will help track the signal for some guidance.
How to Complete the Vista Point Tower
When players arrive at the tower, use Aloy’s Focus to scan the beacon, revealing a blurry image on the Focus when in proximity. This will activate the quest and give players a yellow search area on the map.
To find where the picture was taken, turn around and head north towards the jaw-dropping, neon-drenched pagoda in the distance.
After jumping over the heaped wreckages of cars, approach the carcass of the Tideripper that Aloy defeated in ‘The Sea of Sands.’ Head left from the body and climb up the ladder to the broken walkway above.
At the top, turn left and look out towards the Strip. Active Aloy’s Focus and line up the image of the Astronaut to complete the Vista Point.
Finding this will earn players XP to unlock some new skills, as well as some flavor text about Elisabet Sobeck’s company and the ‘Clawback’ decade, which features heavily in the lore of Horizon Forbidden West.
Horizon Forbidden West is available on PS4 and PS5.
