Just over a week remains now before the official launch of Horizon: Forbidden West. Between the releases of Sifu and Elden Ring, Horizon: Forbidden West is neatly sandwiched in a remarkable month for games this year.

As its release date draws nearer, its marketing has also ramped up with details about the challenges, activities, and settlements that players will experience and explore. Many machines have been teased for Horizon: Forbidden West, and many more have still yet to be revealed. Horizon: Forbidden West's Tremortusk has appeared repeatedly throughout the game's marketing so far, and that seems to persist with more footage captured on PS4.

Guerrilla Games has recently advertised its PS4 edition of Horizon: Forbidden West with more footage, demonstrating that Horizon: Forbidden West will offer remarkable visuals whether players purchase it on PS4 or PS5. A lot of attention has been put toward the PS4 edition lately from Horizon: Forbidden West's developer, which also tells fans that they are not prioritizing one platform over the other. Fortunately for players, this may quell any concerns they have about which edition to buy.

The brief clip shows off more of the Tremortusk's attacks, such as floating energy ball projectiles that disperse from its back and purple lasers that fire from beneath its eyes. With only a fraction of her health bar left after successive attacks sustained, Aloy races around an icy locale's frozen lake to evade the Tremortusk's many long-ranged strikes. Aloy then uses the Pullcaster to reach the top of a rock formation and leap upward from it for a high vantage shot, where she is able to land an arrow on one of the Tremortusk's weak spots.

Some fans have since noted an interesting feature among Aloy's directional input HUD. MALT and others speculate that one of the item prompts shown may suggest that Aloy will have access to a flying mount via the Sunwing machines. This has not been confirmed one way or the other, however, but it is a neat theory that fans will soon be able to verify when Horizon: Forbidden West launches next weekend.

Guerrilla perhaps means to showcase the Tremortusk as a staple new foe for the sequel. Otherwise, Tremortusks may be machines that players often encounter in Horizon: Forbidden West. Regardless, there is already a lot to look forward to when the game releases, such as the improvements made to traversal, NPCs, and side activities.

Horizon: Forbidden West launches for PS4 and PS5 on February 18.
