In the first main quest in Horizon Forbidden West, Reach for the Stars, there will be a point when Aloy is alone and needs to climb a tall tower to shoot two Cable Connectors to drop a shuttle down on some unsuspecting robot enemies. This guide will go over how to climb up the launch tower, and how to reach the cable so that Aloy can destroy it using her bow and arrows.
Climbing up the Launch Tower
After releasing the Shuttle Clamps, an elevator will drop in front of Aloy and players need to head forward to it and then use their Pullcaster item on a piece of debris on the right of it to drop it down even further. Jump on top of the elevator by going into the small hole on the roof of it. Climb upwards to get onto a platform and then jump over a small gap to climb up a set of stairs. At this point, Aloy will mention she needs to get closer to the shuttle to detach the cables.
Shoot the First Shuttle Cable Connector
Keep following the path upwards until they get to the first cable connector. Stand nearby, and players will see a glowing yellow spot. Pull out the bow and shoot an arrow at it to destroy it. As for the second cable connector, Horizon Forbidden West players will need to reach a higher point on the launch tower.
Getting to the Second Cable Connector
As soon as players destroy the first connector, immediately turn around to see a short metal staircase and then jump across a gap to one of the handholds on the tall pillar. Jumping with X and then pressing X again will pull Aloy towards the pillar.
Move up and around to grab the rest of the handholds and keep going up the pillar. Aloy will have to shimmy left across some yellow bars and then eventually drop down onto a new platform.
Jump across some metal structures and go up a short ladder to reach the second cable connector to finally drop the shuttle on the snake-like robot enemies.
Horizon Forbidden West players should prepare themselves for one of the first "boss" battles of the open-world game. Since this is still technically part of the tutorial section, players shouldn't have too many issues defeating it.
