As they delve ever deeper into the world of Horizon Forbidden West, players will eventually find themselves at the Restless Weald Relic Ruins. Much like the last Relic Ruins that they stumbled upon, players will need to have crafted the Igniter in order to fully explore them, meaning that those who've been neglecting the main story may need to come back a little later on.

For Horizon Forbidden West players who have already completed the Death's Door main story mission though, the Relic Ruins at the Restless Weald will likely prove to be fairly simple when compared to some of the others. Finding the key is particularly easy, though players will need to do a little bit of detective work in order to figure out the passcode for the door.

How to Get the Depot Office Key

Before investigating the ruin itself, players should look for an old railcar and move it along the tracks until they've passed the switcher. After doing so, they'll need to use the switcher to change to the straight tracks and then push the cart back along them to the side of the station. This will allow Aloy to climb onto a yellow beam and across a rope that leads to the Depot Office key.

How to Get the Passcode

With the key now in hand, players should drop down and look for the nearby ladder, which will need to be shot down with an arrow before they can climb it. There are Datapoints both at the top of the ladder and in the structure behind it which players should scan. One reveals that the passcode for the door is the same as the year in which the station was built and the other that this year can be found somewhere on the exterior of the station.

By heading around to the northwest side of the structure, players will find what at first appears to be the number 1623 on the wall. A more thorough inspection will reveal that the 6 is a little bit lower than the other three digits and is actually a 9 that has fallen down at some point over the past thousand years or so. Now knowing the year in which the station was built, players can use the passcode 1923 to open up the locked door.

How to Get the Ornament

Unlike other Relic Ruins, which typically grant access to their ornaments almost as soon as the locked door is opened, there's still a bit of work to be done here. First, players should slide along the rope to gain access to a new area where they'll find a patch of Firegleam crystals on one of the walls. Using the Igniter will open up a path back outside, which just so happens to be connected to the train tracks from earlier on.

This means that players will once again have to push or pull the railcar back along the tracks to a point behind the switcher and then change back to the curved tracks. Doing so will enable them to push the railcar into the newly accessible structure and climb on top of it to gain access to the platform with the ornament. From here it's a simple case of picking up the ancient trinket in order to complete the Restless Weald Relic Ruins.

Horizon Forbidden West is available now on PS4 and PS5.
