Sony has officially announced that Horizon Forbidden West will be coming to PC in 2024. As of late, rumors of the next PC port from the PlayStation lineup have been making the rounds, strongly indicating that it may be the sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn. Following its recently concluded State of the Play event, Sony makes an official confirmation.

The announcement comes only a few months after Guerrilla Games released Horizon Forbidden West’s Burning Shores DLC, gaining some noteworthy positive reception from fans. Following the DLC launch, it didn't take much time for speculation to surface on what to expect from the studio. By early September, one notable leak hinted that a Forbidden West Complete Edition may be coming, which includes the Burning Shores DLC. Now, Guerrilla has officially corroborated these claims announcing the next PlayStation exclusive to hit the PC platform.

As per Guerrilla Games, Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition will be coming to PC in early 2024 via the Epic Game Store and Steam. The PC port was co-developed by Guerrilla and Nixxes Software, the same studio behind last year's Spider-ManRemastered and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart PC titles. While the PS5 version of Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition is set to release on October 6, the developers are yet to announce a specific date for the PC port's arrival. Further, Sony is yet to reveal how much the title will cost, though past launches suggest that it may ship with a $60 price tag.

The PlayStation maker has been experiencing notable success with its titles on PC. For instance, Marvel's Spider-Man on PC surpassed God of War in its opening week and has sold over 1.5 million copies on the platform, accounting for over $52 million in revenue so far. Back in May, The Last of Us Part 1 PC port recorded over $15.5 million in sales within a month of its release. While the more recently released Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is yet to hit similar numbers, the release was still followed by a generally positive reception for Sony.

With the Horizon Forbidden West PC announcement, fans will now hope for more news for some of the other PlayStation exclusives like God of War Ragnarok and Bloodborne. Sony has already confirmed that more PlayStation games for PC are on the way, although only time will tell what to expect next from the publisher. Either way, the arrival of Horizon Forbidden West on PC is bound to excite gamers across the board.

Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition releases on October 6 for PS5 and early 2024 for PC.
