The player manages to land a critical strike on an enemy, only for a Leaplasher to grab them at the same moment with an energy lasso. To add insult to injury, the Leaplasher then pulls Aloy towards itself before kicking her away as the fight resumes. In the post’s title, philohendron claims to have played Horizon Forbidden West for over 150 hours without ever seeing this attack before, and it seems like they are not alone.
Many users in the comments section express their surprise at seeing the move in action, stating that they too have never seen a Leaplasher use this attack. One player compares it to the iconic Scorpion move from the Mortal Kombat franchise, while another first believed it to be a unique death animation.
