The Burning Shores DLC for Horizon Forbidden West doesn't have a long run time, but it certainly packs a lot into every mission. Taking place soon after the events of Horizon Forbidden West, players must deal with the final remnant of the Zeniths. Just like the rest of the Zeniths, Londra does not have good intentions for Earth and only Aloy and Seyka can stop him.

With Seyka's sister saved from Londra's clutches, Aloy and Seyka set out to find and defeat Londra. But this will not be an easy task, as Londra has one last trick up his sleeve. Thise guide will show players how to complete the fifth and final story mission of Burning Shores, 'His Final Act'.

Since this is the final mission, this guide contains significant spoilers. Players should proceed with caution.

Meet Seyka Near Londra's Bunker

The first step of this final quest is to go to the campfire near Londra's Bunker. Upon arriving, there will be a prompt to wait for Seyka. A cutscene will play, and both Aloy and Seyka realize what Londra is planning as the Horus on top of the Hollywood sign begins to wake up.

Go to the Horus' Cooling System

Fortunately, it is still possible to stop Londra and disable the Horus again. Follow the waypoint to go toward the cooling system that is allowing the Horus to operate. Reaching it won't be easy, however, as Londra uses one of the drill arms to try and stop players.

Evade Londra

This is essentially a section where stealth is encouraged. There are lots of walls and tall grass, so there are plenty of spots to stay out of the blue search light. Fortunately, being spotted is not an instant game over. Keep going forward to reach a spot where there is a Firegleam. Destroy it to proceed to the next area.

Once again, players will need to use stealth to try and avoid being detected. This time, however, there are Corruptors guarding the way forward. It can be difficult to destroy them, as this seems to alert Londra. If detected, it is better to just run into the next area as fast as possible since the Corruptors won't follow. There is one final stealth section after this, but it is essentially the same thing as the previous two areas.

Sabotage the Pump

Upon arriving at the Horus' cooling system, players will first need to kill all the machines in this area before investigating a way to disable the cooling system. Scan the cooling system with the focus to find two heat sinks that can be pulled out and destroyed. Open the one on the left and Seyka will shoot it. Next, Seyka will open the heat sink on the right so that players can shoot it.

Destroy the Heat Sinks on the Horus

Unfortunately, disabling the cooling system does little to stop the Horus from activating. A cutscene will play and when it ends, the final battle will begin. Run along the path to try and catch up with the Horus. It takes some time, but eventually the objective will update and players will have to destroy the heat sink on the abdomen of the Horus. Using the new Specter Gauntlet weapon is recommended, as it does significantly more damage to the heat sinks than any other weapon.

The second phase of this fight begins once the heat sink on the abdomen is destroyed. When the heat sink is destroyed, the Horus will begin to charge up a pulse attack. Run away as fast as possible to avoid getting hit. Scan the Horus with the Focus to find another heat sink. Seyka will distract the Horus so that it turns around. When the heatsink comes into view, shoot the plating off of it. On one of the legs of the Horus there are climbing spots. Run up one of the nearby rocks and wait for the leg to be close enough to jump onto it.

Carefully climb all the way up toward the heat sink. Along the way, there will be electrical currents surging and fire will periodically spew from the joints. Wait for the right moment to safely cross and then continue climbing up. Use the prompt to destroy the heat sink. Once back down on the ground, run away again to avoid getting hit by the next pulse attack.

Before long, the third phase will begin. There are four arms that the Horus will attack with, and each one has a heat sink. Wait until the arm comes down and stops moving. Then use the Focus to find the heat sink and destroy it with the Specter Gauntlet. Repeat this process three more times while dodging the relentless barrage of attacks. Once all four heat sinks have been destroyed, destroy the last one that is on the chest.

Enter the Horus

Once all the heat sinks have been destroyed, a brief cutscene will play. When the cutscene is over, swim toward the waypoint to find a spot to enter the Horus. This spot can be seen with the Focus.

From here, players will have to do some climbing and platforming. This part plays out similarly to what players would encounter in a Cauldron. Just before the next boss fight, there will be a hallway where a pulse of electricity will periodically shoot down it. Quickly run into the alcoves on the left to avoid getting hit. On the other side of this hallway, the final confrontation with Londra will begin.

How to Defeat Londra

Londra has a shield that makes him impervious to harm. Instead, focus on dealing with the machine behind him. There are pipes connected to it, and they have weak points that can be destroyed with any weapon as they don't have anywhere near as much health as the heat sinks did. Once all the pipes have been destroyed, two power distributors will rise up on both the left and right. Approach both of these devices and there will be a prompt to destroy them.

At this point, there are five more pipes that will need to be destroyed. However, they are protected by a shield. The shield goes down only when Londra is attacking, but if players get hit by the attack they will be stunned and won't be able to hit the pipes. When all pipes have been destroyed, rush toward the core and destroy it. A cutscene will play.

Meet Seyka at Fleet's End

horizon-forbidden-west-burning-shore-his-final-act-walkthrough13

With Londra defeated, all that remains is to return to Fleet's End with the good news. Speak with Seyka to trigger another cutscene. The final step of this quest is to meet with Seyka at the beach from the beginning of Burning Shore. Before that, players have an optional objective to speak with Seyka's sister.

When ready, go to the beach and speak with Seyka one last time. At this point, players will get three choices and one of the options is for Aloy to admit her feelings for Seyka. Regardless of what players choose, the credits will roll once the cutscene ends. While there is an epilogue quest, there are no post-credit cutscenes, so players can skip credits if they wish and not miss anything.

Horizon Forbidden West is available now on PS4 and PS5. Burning Shores is available exclusively for PS5.
