The main story of Burning Shores may be relatively short compared to the main story from Horizon Forbidden West, but it is still fairly action packed. The pacing is fast, and each mission will keep players on their toes. There are only five story missions total and only three quests, and the fourth one throws a lot at players.

Having successfully discovered part of what Londra is planning, Aloy and Seyka come up with a plan to reach the ruins of an amusement park that Londra is using as a base. It is well defended, and any attempt to fly or use a boat will end in failure. This walkthrough will show Horizon Forbidden West players how to complete the fourth mission of Burning Shores, 'For His Amusement'.

This walkthrough contains spoilers, so players should proceed with caution.

Gather Waterwing Parts

After learning about Nemesis, Seyka needs time to process the information. The first step of the quest is to go to the beach and meet her there. After a brief cutscene, Aloy and Seyka decide that the best way to reach Londra's Park is to use a Waterwing to dive into the water and avoid the defenses. But for this plan to work, Aloy needs to be able to override a Waterwing.

In order to create an override, players will have to dive into the ocean and look for the remains of destroyed Waterwings to find one Ballast Regulator and one Wing Membrane. These items are not guaranteed drops off dead Waterwings, so players will have to search several to find them all. To make matters more difficult, several Snapmaws roam around in the water. Try to avoid being detected.

Craft the Waterwing Override

Once all parts have been obtained, Aloy will contact Beta. From there, head to the nearest Workbench. The Waterwing Override can be crafted with only the Ballast Regular and the Wing Membrane. With the Override crafted, follow the waypoint to reach a place where some Waterwings roam.

Carefully look for an opportunity to sneak up to a Waterwing, as being detected will often result in being attacked by every single Waterwing in the area. When the override action completes, a cutscene will play.

How to Reach Londra's Park

For this next part, players will have to fly to Londra's Park, and they cannot dismount from the Waterwing. Fly toward the waypoint and when the defense structure fires, dive into the water to avoid the attack. The Waterwing doesn't have much health, so players will want to avoid getting hit as much as possible. Try to stay above non-shallow water as much as possible so that it is easy to dive right into the water. Keep moving forward until eventually a cutscene is triggered.

Look for the Valcano

Explore the ruins of the theme park and look for the fake volcano that is being used as a base of operations by Londra. The door to the volcano is closed, and it requires a key from someone named Fedder. For this part, players do not get specific locations for where to find the next objective. Look for a building on the west side of the park called Raptor Raid. Fedder and his squad are inside this building.

How to Get Fedder's Key

Go inside the Raptor Raid building and eventually a cutscene will trigger. Once the cutscene ends, players will need to kill all the guards and Fedder. There are quite a few guards, so trying to take some out with stealth will make it easier if detected. After all the guards and Fedder are dead, locate Fedder's body and loot the key off of him.

Find the Armory

Unfortunately, Fedder's key does directly open the door to the volcano. Instead, it can be used to open a door in the Armory, which is on the east side of the park. Deep inside the Armor, there is a control panel that can open the door to the volcano.

Along the way, there is a room filled with unusual equipment. Examine everything in order to learn what Londra is planning to do with the Quen that he has following him. After searching the whole room, the door to the next area will open.

While exploring, look for a rusted vent on a wall. Use the Pullcaster to pull it open and crawl through into another room with a medical chair in the middle of it. There is a terminal in this room, but the power seems to be out. To make matters worse, the battery that provides power is fried, and it needs to be replaced. To get a replacement, look for a Firegleam on one of the nearby walls.

Ignite it and then go toward the broken window to spot an area on a wall that can be destroyed with the Pullcaster. It takes several attempts and a few adjustments of position to bring down the wall. Inside this room is a spare battery. Return to the room with the battery slot and insert the replacement. Next, approach the chair and watch the recording on it to learn more about Londra's plan. Finally, approach the terminal and operate it to trigger a cutscene. The door to the volcano will now be open.

Go to the Volcano

Leave the Armory and head back toward the Volcano. Several guards will emerge from the open doorway, but it is fairly easy to sneak by them. Especially if players throw a rock. Make sure to be ready before going through the doorway, as there will be a cutscene and a boss fight on the other side.

Defeat the Slaughterspine

When the cutscene ends, players will have to kill an Apex Slaughterspine. It is very high level and does a considerable amount of damage, so players will want to avoid getting hit if they can help it. Scan it to see parts that can be shot off to do more damage. Once the boss is dead, another cutscene will play and the fourth main mission will end.

Horizon Forbidden West is available now on PS4 and PS5. Burning Shoes is available exclusively on PS5.
