Table of contents

When Horizon Forbidden West players complete Aloy's new story in The Burning Shores, they will still have a considerable amount of side content at their disposal. From the new Aerial Captures that explore the fall of Los Angeles to collectible action figures that interact with an ancient amusement park, players can expect to stay with Aloy long after her journey with Seyka is complete.

One of the more interesting pieces of side content in the DLC expansion centers around a series of collectibles known as Delvers' Trinkets. These unique items, of which there are seven, are found all throughout the Burning Shores. Aloy discovers these personal relics hidden in places that only Oseram delvers are likely to venture. Each piece contains a snippet of a story, and perhaps something more valuable, that is only revealed once Horizon Forbidden West players collect them all.

Where to Find the Cherished Flask (Delvers' Trinket #1)

HBS-Delver-Flask-Map

This trinket has a fun little puzzle for Aloy to solve. To start off, players should head to the campfire marked on the above map and then walk just slightly south to find a zipline that will take Aloy to a small Oseram working platform. From there, they'll need to glide straight down into the water.

While gliding down, Aloy will spot a large cave entrance that she can head into. Players should head to the back of the cave to find an Oseram corpse sitting on a little spot of land. While on that patch, Aloy can see a crate in the water, as well as a ledge above that she cannot yet reach. Before doing anything else players should look for the patch of Firegleam and then shoot it to clear a path that Aloy will use momentarily.

First though, players will want to use Aloy's Pullcaster to get the crate into the position shown in the above image. It should be placed in the water just below the one unreachable climbing hold in the front chamber of the cave.

Once Aloy is up on the ledge, players should use the Focus to scan for more holds. It's very simple to follow the only available climbing path to the ledge where the trinket is found, as it is the only place that Aloy can climb to.

Where to Find the Old Pot (Delvers' Trinket #2)

HBS-Delver-Old-Pot-Map

The second trinket is found on the northern edge of the Slitherfang site located in the northeastern corner of the map. There will be a small Oseram camp near the waterfall where the pot is found. It may be possible to get in and grab the item without the Sliverfang knowing, but as this trinket is found directly in the machine's habitat, players should be ready for a fight.

HBS-Delver-Old-Pot

If players decide to fight the Slitherfang, they should try using any high-end Plasma weapon. The delayed Plasma explosion will take a massive chunk of the Snake-like machine's health, with very little required in the way of resources used.

Where to Find the Music Box (Delvers' Trinket #3)

HBS-Delver-Music-Box-Map

The Music Box trinket is located north of Fleet's End. Players should look for the Fire Clamberjaw site, which is found near the northern edge of the map. It is located just about perfectly in between the Slitherfang site in the northeastern corner, and Heaven's Rest in the northwest.

HBS-Delver-Music-Box-Cave-Scorcher

The Music Box is found in a cave that runs directly under the Clamberjaw symbol on the map. When Aloy is getting close, a Scorcher will slowly walk out. It is possible to sneak into the cave, or Aloy can take out the large machine. Players should be careful though as if Aloy engages with the Scorcher, the Clamberjaws will likely hear and come to join the party.

HBS-Delver-Music-Box

When the machines are gone, Aloy will comment on the Oseram delvers that visited the site. The trinket can be found in the vicinity of a Brimshine Chunk and a Legendary Valuables box. The Music Box appears as a simple, Common tier item when scanned.

Where to Find the Delver's Cap (Delvers' Trinket #4)

HBS-Delver-Cap-Map-1

The Delver's Cap trinket is located on the large island that sits to the right of the island where Fleet's End can be found. Near its southern edge, Aloy will encounter a Frost Bellowback site, which is where Aloy can find the cap.

If players are having trouble locating the site, they should look to the southwest of the Murmuring Hollow Relic Ruins. Once they make it to the Frost Bellowback site, they'll want to take out the relatively low-level machine by blowing its large gullet and cargo refining sac. These are the large containers that appear to hold frosty liquid. Destroying both will leave the Bellowback barely clinging to life.

To find the cap, players should look for a building with a small, wooden structure outside. It is located just south of the Bellowback symbol, along the road shown on the map. Aloy can use the wooden structure to reach the climbable section of the skyscraper.

Players can then climb and grapple their way up to a small ledge, then zipline across to the building that contains the Delver's Cap. See the accompanying images for the exact location.

Once Aloy is in the next building, it will appear as if she cannot get to the floor above. However, if they head back out to the small ledge she landed on when using the zipline, players will notice several Blaze containers on another ledge above them. Shooting them with a flame-based weapon will cause an explosion that gives Aloy access to the Delvers' Trinket, which sits on a small table.

Where to Find the Lucky Porker (Delvers' Trinket #5)

HBS-Delver-Lucky-Map

The Lucky Porker trinket is found in a cave beneath a Fire Clamberjaw site to the south of Fleet's End. Unfortunately, when Aloy enters the open section of the cave, she'll find a locked door that is impossible to open from this location.

HBS-Delver-Lucky-Path

Instead, Aloy must head above ground, and venture towards the location shown on the above map. There, she'll find a metal bracket that she can yank on with her Pullcaster. This will open the chamber from the top and allow Aloy to reach the trinket.

HBS-Delver-Lucky-Porker

Players should remember that Aloy must be above the bracket in order for this to work. Luckily, there is a ruin that Aloy can climb which gives her the perfect angle. Once inside, players can find the Lucky Porker toy on the desk at the bottom of the stairs.

Where to Find Hef the Hammer (Delvers' Trinket #6)

HBS-Delver-Hammer-Map

Hef the Hammer is located near a large Oseram worksite that happens to sit directly next to a shelter on the Burning Shores' western coast. See the above image for the exact location.

When entering the worksite, Aloy will comment that the crane must have been related to something down the cliff. Players should then head to the edge and look down to see a small platform with a Brimshine sliver. They'll need to jump to this platform to reach the next area.

HBS-Delver-Hef-The-Hammer

From the crane platform, Aloy will see a cave entrance on the side of the cliff face. Hef the Hammer is located just inside this cave.

Where to Find the Mighty Pint (Delvers' Trinket #7)

HBS-Delver-Pint-Map

The Mighty Pint trinket is located near the location of Aerial Capture: West. During that side quest, Aloy will fight an Apex Stormbird in the same area where the Mighty Pint trinket is found. After that, players should head to the small island off the western coast, near the ruins of what was once Santa Monica, CA.

Near the spot shown on the above map, Aloy will find a set of ruins that appear raised off the ground. If Aloy is facing the ocean, she can use a grapple point on the structure's far left side. Players will find the trinket behind the door on the structure's far right side.

How to Find The Delvers' Trove in The Burning Shores

HBS-Delvers-Directions

Once Players have found all seven Delvers' Trinkets, a new datapoint will unlock in their inventory. This text log includes a set of instructions that reads more like a riddle. The entirety of the text is as follows:

“On the east edge of the isle, at our camp you shall begin.

Turn your gaze to the cliff

And ascend to its crest, where you shall find

A place to think and take a drink.

Follow where it runs to where waters meet

Then between twin palms must you stand.

Walk 20 paces north, then turn once more

And on towards where the sun rises from the shore.

Cross the water till boots again touch sand

And at last find our treasured prize

Between two patches of grass, red as blood

Hidden from all prying eyes.”

HBs-Trove-Map

The game gives players the basic area in which to look, but does not take them directly to the treasure. Thankfully, they can follow these steps to reach the Delvers' Trove and unlock the Recovered the Delvers' Trove Trophy:

  1. From the Delvers' camp that is clearly marked, there is only one visible cliff. Head to the top.
  2. As Aloy heads through the ruins up the cliff, she will spot two Oseram bodies. She mentions the next set of directions including twin palms and waters meet. Look on the map to see where a river and ocean meet just past the ruins. Here, Aloy will find two palm trees.
  3. The trove is essentially straight across from the palms, but after walking 20 paces north, make sure to face fully east before crossing the water. There are two patches of red grass, with one that appears as though it is meant to trick people who don't follow the directions to a T. In fact, the correct trove is even marked with two logs in the shape of a T.

The trove contains the Elite Valor weave, 15 Brimshine, and a wide selection of valuable items. Completing the task also awards the player with the Recovered the Delvers' Trove Trophy.

Horizon Forbidden West is available now on PS4 and PS5.
